I could definitely afford a mule, although Faionn would probably become its best friend and think of it as another member of the party. Still would serve our purposes.

Well if you haven't already bought one then don't worry, unless you'd like to have a second mule and we could breed them.... Oh wait, no.

Step 3: Choose a Character Class
In the beginning of this module, you will only be able to select from the four basic classes. Once you have selected a character class, click the pen icon in the character sheet and delete the other entries, and then remove the spoiler tags. For Thieves, also delete the Thieving Abilities that do not belong to your character race. Your character class will also determine your hit die, which you will roll for future hit points. You will be starting with maximum hit points at level one; if you are playing a multiclass character, you will start with the average of the maximum hit points for your classes.

For our mule purposes, I'll let Dom be the mule master. After they become best friends, Faionn might have to teach our mule to kill on command. Then we can bring him into dungeons with us.
