I have been looking into my character a bit more. I am planning to go Storm Sorcerer from a harbor town like Haven (if that a harbor? It doesn't specifically say so, but I have a harbor vibe with it), Harwick or Sea Way. She will be a sorcerer focussed on wind, water, lightning and thunder.
Either Var. Human or Half-Elf. I am still debating her personality a bit.
She'll either be physically or mentally very weak. Having rolled 6 points below standard array I need to create two dump stats and reflect them in the RP. So I need to figure out if I go drop STR and CON or INT and WIS, for only these combinations make sense to me. Alternative is to balance out everything and have a terrible main stat.
For the bonus starter feats Elemental Adept seems nice due to the theme of my charater.
Then probably a half-elf to fix up the stats. Are the half-elf variant races from Sword Coast a thing? I could imagine the aquatic half-elf could be interesting. Not sure yet. Var Human could be fun for more meta-magic options with the feat.
Any suggested deadlines?
Addition: based on the statline I might decide to take a wizard instead of a sorcerer.
They take a similar role in the group, but a high INT, low WIS and low CHA wizard is a certain archetype that might be a bit easier to play.
Still looking primarily at storm sorcerer.
