Hey, I’ve been rummaging through some of my old systems and I came across The Romance Trilogy which I played a few games of before. I’m thinking of seeing if anyone wants to play out any of the systems on here. So, I’m here to do a pitch / interest check. For now just for Breaking the Ice, so without further ado…

The System - The Romance Trilogy - Breaking the Ice
A simple summary for those that don’t know it but might be interested, the game is a rules light 1 to 1 game where the players take it in turns to be an active character and GM. Together, the players make a character each and play out the first three dates (defined in the rulebook as scenarios rather than conventional dates) by explaining their actions and traits for the GM to award them dice to use to build attraction / compatibility.
Given how freeform the game is, I had a few scenarios to play out. Feel free to take a look through them and let me know if any take your fancy; Although if you have an idea you’d be interested in talking through let me know!
Adult Content or Controversial Themes - Despite the theme being romance and dating, I very much intend to use veils for anything more adult. I’m here for the fluffy side of things, if I wanted the other side I’d go somewhere else, you know?
Game Duration and Post Frequency - Ideally at least 3-5 posts a week for a 1-1, but unfortunately I work a high stress job and won’t always have a chance to get on everyday. The game itself lasts for three dates, each of which lasts 6 turns divided equally for 3 chances as GM and 3 as an active character.
Player Experience - Is not required, as I explained its rules are light. You don’t even need a copy of the rulebook, I’m happy to explain the criteria for rolling dice and we do character creation together anyway!
How to apply - Just post your interest here or if you’d rather send me a PM. I’m pretty open with this kind of thing. Try not to come with clear ideas about your character though, since I’ll say for the third time; we’ll be making characters together as part of the system. Probably first come first served, but I’m open to talking things through.
Marginalised groups - Are welcome. As a member of the LGBT community myself I like to include marginalised groups where I can. For example; I’ll probably be playing a female character, so if you wanted to as well then I see no problems here.

Two pokemon trainers are rivals who are both battling their way to take over all the gyms in their region. Over time, they keep running into each other and soon enough sparks start to fly. Will their relationship stay as just a rivalry, or will they become something more?
[ +- ] Our Mechanical Romance
Some years after the war, mecha began to become obsolete. In an effort to stop their investments going to waste, companies set up a commercial gladiatorial league. A new up and coming team consisting of only a single engineer and pilot are throwing themselves into the fire with an intent for climbing to the top. Who knows what kind of passion will come in the heat of battle?
[ +- ] Shoujo Sparkles
A standard boy meets girl, shoujo plot set in a school. Trying to keep things down to earth with a hint of magic and manga flair. Why do these two meet, and what keeps them together? Is it the classic club trope… maybe they’re the only two members?
[ +- ] City Colours
Very bog standard romance in the city streets. Recommended for beginners, although with a bit of creativity it could end up with some interesting combinations.
