New World of Darkness (Closed)

I've decided to run a more traditional style game, and I've been in the mood to do some NWoD so here we are. To start... we will be using First Edition. No Chronicles of Darkness, no God Machine rules or any of that.

- Looking for 2-3 players.
- Daily posting preferred.
- Characters will start off human.
- Standard creation. (Small bonus in-game.)


While there is no guarantee supernatural templates will be aquired down the road... it's a possibility, so if you have an idea that sounds good you are welcome to put it out there and we can see what happens.

I'm not going into the planned story. Just build a character you want to play, and we will fit you in. (There's a reason for the secrecy, it'll make more sense once we get started.)

The only requirement I have... is your character needs a reason to be on a flight from Tokyo, Japan to the SeaTac airport outside of Seattle, Washington.

Alright... as for touchy subjects...

This game will have offensive subject matter.

It's not a happy, friendly world. There are bad people who do bad things. There are literal monsters hiding in the shadows.

Some of it depends on how PCs play the game, but there are bad people in my world. Maybe you meet them, maybe you don't. If you are easily offended... understand this game may not be a good fit. It's your call, all I can do is let you know it's very possible.

I'm interested here. . . I'll have to stew on it and see if there's a character idea I have and look at the NWOD rules.

Always wanted to try the WoD system in action, but I'd be a total newbie. If that is not an issue, I would be interested in this, and the premise sounds fun.

One question, I very much like how the system looks on the page, but am not too interested in the VtM lore/settings... would your game tap into those, you think?

It's funny because there's a trigger point on the medium term future in one of those games that opens a third connected game that will be very unique, but it might be a year off depending on pace hah

The Mage line is the only World of darkness line I'm interested in at the moment. So I doubt that this is a game for me.
But everything else sounds very appealing

I'd like to throw in if there is room here. It's been a few years since I played NWoD, but I used to play Vampire a lot.

So, in NWoD the Vampire setting was Requiem, not Masquerade. There are similarities, but a lot is very different.

One thing NWoD did was, by and large, get rid of historical lore. It's largely undefined.

That said, there are Vampires in the world. You'll at least run into some... how much interaction there is will really come down to how the group plays and the choices they make.

Mage is a possibility... much like Vampires, there are Mages in the world. How much or how little you interact with them is up to the party.

Is becoming a Mage a possibility? Yes.

Is it a sure thing? Not at all.

What you do with that info is entirely up to you.

There are a few maybes, but I'm pretty sure we have enough people. Still waiting to see how the maybes shake out though.
