The Caress of Gamaliel

Time has continued to pause - and you find yourself unable to reach into your pocket to grab your medallion of the Saint. You're unable to move out of your seat. Only your mind continues to work, almost as if you are physically frozen as time has come to a stop. Looking outside the side windows, everything is a blur - like all the colors of the world are speeding past and yet stand still at the same time. You've never felt or seen anything like this in your life.

And no matter what you say to the Driver, it seems as if they are unable to respond to you. It's almost as if they are in suspended animation. The same suspended animation that the entire world, even your physical body seems to be in right now - everything except your mind as you are forced to make a decision.

You are forced to make a decision.

You are forced to make a decision.

You are forced to make a decision.

Despite it all, you can feel that you are the one who will determine the fate of these civilians; something about the air makes you instinctively understand that it's not the Driver who's in control of the vehicle right at this moment - it is you.

Make your call - the drunk, or the woman with the child.

As he sat there, trapped in frozen state, he felt a heavy weight pressing upon him. The gravity of the situation was palpable, and he knew he had to make a decision that would shape their lives, and perhaps even their futures, because the driver forced him to. The urgency of the repeated words echoing in his mind only intensified the pressure. Even though all of their lives should be spared, in this hopeless situation, he chose the child, not the woman specifically.

The bishop rose up in his seat and walked towards the front, staring at the stroller. "All adults have a responsibility to protect the young. If you can at least avoid the stroller, do that, no matter if you hit the woman or the man."

You get the feeling that even though you are talking to the Driver, they are not responsive. It's as if they are suspended in time and unable to control the limousine. As you make your decision, the car veers toward the drunk in the gutter. The whole car bumps as it hits the drunkard.
OOC:
As a player, you have a choice - did the feeling of driving over the pedestrian, the feeling of him dying under your wheels knowing you were in charge - did that feeling cause you to become stressed out? Do you need to roll a Keep It Together roll? This is your choice as a player.
Suddenly, time resumes back to normal and the driver once again takes control of the limousine.

"Excellent choice," the driver says. "That man in the gutter was an EMT - and Emergency Medical Technician. This was his weekend off. He normally spends his days working hard to save lived, forever critical of himself for not doing enough to keep his patients alive. Tonight, he was drowning himself in liquor, something he hasn't done in years, because he lost a child in the ambulance.

The child you saved will grow up to become known as the Butcher of Malina. He will become a serial killer, ever elusive and forever one step ahead of the authorities. He will live to an old age, wracking up one of the highest murder counts for serial killers in history."

The voice of the driver then shifts back to the audience, "We are now driving through an endless labyrinth of little houses. Small boxed, all the same. Happy people who are wealthy enough to buy houses on the inside of gates. Fit people jog on the sidewalk. Little old ladies bring cakes to their neighbors. The smell of barbeques and swimming pools fill the air. People seem to be happy.

But now, we have the adult entertainment superstar! Most people know her as Sanora Black.

Sanora is the Bishop's daughter! What a twist this is! A pious man had a child out of wedlock, and because he was not there as a proper father figure, she grew up to become a pornstar - another thing Morgana the Monster does not know about. How does this make the bishop feel? How does Sanora feel about her father?

We do know their relationship has been cold for a while, but now the bishop is withholding Sanora’s inheritance from her deceased mother, until ‘he can be proud of her.’ Today, we shall find out if Sanora can make her father proud."

Sanora - A limousine pulls up. You are standing on the sidewalk, having ordered a taxi, but instead this limousine shows up. This would be very good for you to be seen entering a limo. Not only is this a prestigious neighborhood, but living up to the prestige by entering a limo can do wonders to your reputation and prospects (even beyond your career working for Loretta).

Do you enter?

By the sidewalk stands a pretty, young woman. Wearing a little black dress and a fancy cardigan. Her immensely high heels make her look way taller than her actual 5'2". She eyes the limo arriving in the distance and smiles as it stops to let her in.

At least the taxi company knows who they are dealing with. she thinks to herself with a happy smile. Quite the fancy limo. While she had just ordered for a taxi. She approaches it slowly. Looking around, to see if they are any bystanders noticing her and the fancy car. Great stuff!

And then she enters it, ready to sit down when she realizes that she is not alone in the limo.

"Dad!" she says in a first moment of first shock.
And then instantly recovers herself. She voice changes from shocked to sweet.
"Daddy! Hi!" she approaches him for a kiss on the cheek, but it's actually one of those where you kiss the empty air besides the cheek.
"What brings you here? This is the taxi isn't it?"

The limousine has two rows of seats in the back, facing each other. It’s all white leather and luxury. The minibar has an impressive assortment of alcohol, as well as some snacks and an orange medicine bottle filled with an assortment of opioids and antidepressants.

Smoking is encouraged.

Deftones' "Passenger" plays softly through the sound system, just faint enough to provide background ambiance, but not loud enough to be a distraction.

Beside the contents of the mini bar there are three objects in the back of the limousine.

◊ A battery powered power drill.

◊ A high-quality black leather collar with some rhinestones on it.

◊ A two-liter dark brown glass-vial full of a clear liquid. It is labeled "sulphuric acid 98%"

Sanora: You recognize the collar as a BDSM posture collar. You've seen it before, in Loretta's collection. You already know the rhinestones spell "Loretta's Pet."
OOC:
The Bishop and The Actress should have some conversation before we kick in with the Driver again.

After that situation unfolded, the driver's words just went over his head. His mind was filled with unfiltered rage and just boiled up inside. After that, he just went blank because no matter what he said, he killed someone. He knew that after he completes his mission and retire as a bishop, he must find the driver and do what he must to prevent more victims. For now, he can just stare at the driver, dumbfounded.

After Sanora enters the vehicle:

He smiles painfully at her and stares intensely at the driver. "What is the meaning of this? You actually dared to...", he then turns to his daughter. The bishop gripped her shoulders tightly and was clearly furious. "And you... Why did you enter? Didn't I tell you to not enter any suspicious vehicles!", he then sighs and drops his head. "I'm sorry, my angel... I really am... Don't worry, daddy will protect you, no matter what it takes."
May 31, 2023 6:06 am
Sanora smiles "Come on, daddy. This is not a sus vehicle. You're in it too, and I did order a cab. The guys at the taxi company knows what kind of ride a girl needs. But why are you here? It is quite a coincidence."

She looks curiously at the objects at the minibar for a moment.
"What's up with those things?" she asks.
But then her attention immediatelly shifts to the minibar itself.
"May I?" she asks to the driver, but before she has an answer she has already opened it for some alcoholic beverage.

"Please help yourself. There are also some prerolled cigarettes and joints. Please, help yourself." Their voice is smooth and sultry, a voice you're intimately familiar with in your line of work, Sanora.

As you converse, the vehicle leaves the neighborhood and heads out onto the streets once more. Outside, the rain continues to pour.

"Welcome to The Ride, Sanora. Please excuse your father, we have had quite the conversation, and he is a bit shaken from it. Secrets have been tumbling out. Would you care to join in? You love secrets, juicy little secrets, don't you Sanora? Or should we call you Anette Saint-Clair?

"Tell us, is your real name something you've intentionally kept hidden to protect your father, or did it just naturally switch once you made the decision to sign on with Loretta?"

The driver's voice then shifts, as if he's no longer talking to you, but instead to someone else listening in - almost as if there was an audience. "Yes, Sanora has made a deal with Loretta for six films! Six! She certainly is eager, isn't she?

Loretta is known for making films that transcend traditional pornography. She wants them to showcase a whole new genre of adult films - she wants them to feel as real and alive as possible, as if the viewer could completely believe that such a situation could happen naturally. No scripts, just pure emotional connections."

Their voice then shifts back, talking to you again, "Tell us, Sanora, is that real-ness the reason why you made a deal with Loretta?

Or did you give her a lock of your hair because she promised to handle your stalker? Oh yes, we know about that lock of hair. How Loretta joked and said it was a token of your submission."

"Bishop? What do you think? Do you happen to have some juicy and secret knowledge on Loretta?"
May 31, 2023 9:11 pm
"Oh no thank you" Sarona says. "Drinks are cool, but I don't smoke. Terrible for the bright white shiny teeth."
She rejects the cigarettes and joints, but does take the drink.

"My name it's just because to protect my privacy..." Sarona starts to answer but then lowers her drink and frowns. "Wait a moment. You do know an awefully lot about me, don't you? How is that so?" she demands, feeling freaked out a bit now. Is that insufferable stalked behind the wheel? If so, she could be in trouble, a lot of it.

But she feels the need to defend herself anyway.

"Six movies. Yeah. So what? It's good money you know. And it's fun... and what lock... wait... that lock... I already forgot. It doesn't really mean anything now, does it?"

She had just given it. If her new manager wanted a lock of her hair? Sure. It was a weird request, but why deny it? She had never thought much about it.

She shakes her head. Already greatly annoyed with this driver. Is it the stalker or...

"Daddy?" she asks, trying to not sound suspicious about him. "Was he like this to you to?" she asks, but she actually tries to figure out if her dad might be pulling some kind of intervention on her right now.

(Copied from Discord)

The bishop already fed up to all of this, just stared at her dejected. "Oh, it's... If I can describe it, I wouldn't be able to."

He rested his head on the window and said, "Ever since I entered, I would rather go to that hag's side than this.". He checked his watch. "I can't believe it's been almost an hour of this... nightmare. Just try your best to dismiss the driver's questions, if you can that is..." He stares at the driver intensely.

He facepalms, "It doesn't matter now, I just hope it'll end with no more casualties."
Jun 2, 2023 4:52 am
"Oh, the stalker," the driver says, as if reading your mind. "Yes, let's talk about that stalker, shall we? There’s a stalker, didn’t the Bishop know? You two must talk a bit more often."

"The two of you should discussion what the stalker has done to Sanora.

Do you remember, Sanora? Bishop, the stalker sent her a jar full of semen. It was labeled 'I have so much love for you.'

How did that make you feel, Sanora? What did you do with it?"
Jun 2, 2023 10:27 pm
"Casualties, daddy?" Sanora says. Her eyes are wide open in shock for a moment. "Surely, that is a figurative speech, isn't it?"

She is a annoyed at the mentioning of her stalker at first, but when the jar is mentioned again she is grossed out. Her face twists at the thought of that horrid memory.

"Disgusting. Why do you bring it.... hey! Wait a moment!" she sits up straight and on edge. "How do you know about this? You are him, aren't you? Pull over and let us out right now!" she demands. "And just know that your so called gift was thrown in the trashbin within the minute!"
Jun 2, 2023 10:54 pm
"Ha ha ha!" The Driver laughs softly, yet genuinely. "She thinks I am the stalker!"

"No, my dear, I am not your stalker. I am just a driver, employed by... But that does not matter just now. We can speak on that later.

For now, we have another question for you. As you know, there were two more items your stalker gave you.

The second item, or items I should say, was a collection of photographs. Photos of your luggage in a hotel room; of going through your personal items. Photos of you in the hotel shower.

And it came with a note, did it not? It read, 'being near you this way thrills me to my core.'

Tell us how this made you feel, Sanora? Did it make you feel secure, knowing someone out there loves you this much? So you think your stalker loves you more, or less, than your 'daddy'?"
Jun 3, 2023 11:42 am
Sarona leans backwards in her seat and crosses her arm defiantly.
"Who ever is doing this is a freak. He doesn't love me," she says without really answering about daddy's love. "He can watch my movies all he likes, but besides that - leave me alone. I am still figuring out how they have been able to make those pictures. Or rather, my lawyer is."

For a moment she is silent.

"What I am more worried about is how you know about all this? You're asking questions but barely answering any. Who are you? What do you want?"
Jun 3, 2023 1:12 pm
The Driver's voice seems to shift, as if he is no longer speaking to you, but rather to someone else - to someone not in the car. To someone listening in.

"She wants to know who I am, but unfortunately that is not an answer I am permitted to give. Fortunately, she has been a good sport so far, so we shall continue the line of questioning rather than drive this vehicle off of a cliff, killing us all.

Our final question about the stalker concerns his third gift to Sanora. He sent her a dash-cam shot of Sanora walking home. She was very dressed down and obviously trying to avoid public attention. Off-camera, the stalker goes on about abducting her and breaking her to make her prettier. That's a very important line - break her to make he prettier. We shall remember this, for it will come up again."

His voice shifts back, and he speaks once again to you, "Sanora, these are the three gifts you have received from your stalker. Tell me, how would you rate them and compare them? Which is the best and which is the worst?"
Jun 4, 2023 8:44 pm
"You are even worse than the stalker..." Sarona says annoyed. "Yeah. I know about the pictures he has made. No need to remind me about those, thank you very much. It's horrid... In fact, they are worse than that disgusting jar he send me. Any creep can fill up a jar, but to make the pictures he'd actually have to be close." she shivers at the thought of it.
Jun 4, 2023 10:12 pm
"Yes, good. See? I knew you could do it. Just open up. Think of me as your therapist, and open up all your feelings and emotions," the Driver says, smoothly.

"Now that we're all opening up here, tell me - if there was anyone, anyone in the world who you would like to have killed, who would it be? Would it be your stalker? Remember what he said?

'True love must challenge our perception of love.' "
Jun 5, 2023 6:44 pm
"I am paying my actual therapist 200 dollars each hour. And now I finally start to understand why! She's doing a way better job than you do!" Sarona says. Her defiant position back in her chair has changed. She is sitting more on the edge of the chair now, quite fuming.

"You want to know my list of people I'd rather see gone in my life? Really. You are getting quite high on the list, you know. But yeah, I think you are in second place. After our stalker friend."
Jun 5, 2023 7:32 pm
"Oh! This is so much fun! It almost challenges my perception of fun! Ha ha!

Yes, your father said quite a similar thing regarding me. Isn't it exhilarating knowing a priest would want someone to be killed? It's like a forbidden passion. Priests are not supposed to have forbidden passions, are they not?

I have but one more question for you, Sanora. You see those two men over there? The one with the grey suit and the one with the pinstripe suit. Regular Joes. Suppose I lost control over this heavy car. It might just happen since I’m distracted. Which one should I run over?"

And then, almost as if time itself comes to a pause, everything around you seems to freeze in place - or at least move to incredibly slow motion. Your father is frozen in place looking at you with a bit of apprehension and fear, as if he knew what was about to happen. The water droplet from the condensation on the outside of your glass drops ever so slowly, barely moving a millimeter in the very long seconds that have been stretched out before you.

You must make a decision. Who shall die? The man in the Grey Suit or the man in the Pinstripe Suit?
