Arlen blanches at the name.
"We've been hearing the name for some time now. Some sort of leader of those swine-folk. Not the type to be trifled with. But by your cut, you all must be adventurers. If you hurry, you may be able to catch those orcs before the reach their destination! Let me send you with Lauriel; she knows the land as much as the next. They must be making for the keep, and they likely don't know the shortcut." A woman steps forward, lean in build but tough looking. You recognize her from standing by the guard who had interrogated you upon entry.
Shandril takes the sword from her belt and holds it out to Monaghan.
"You look as though this could aid you. A weapon for a true warrior." The sword appears to be little more than a ceremonial sword or possibly a druidic weapon of some type. Its handle of horn makes it appear unsuitable for true combat, and it is encased in a rustic, unadorned reinforced leather scabbard. Lauriel's face twitches almost imperceptibly.
"And here, let me do what I can. Two more offerings." She pulls out two potions from a pouch, with reddish liquid sloshing inside. She then reaches out towards Ryenne, who is looking rather rough, and invokes Freya to heal the woman. Almost immediately many of her aches and pains fade.
"Promise to recover the crucible and bring to justice those who have defiled the temple of my goddess."
Two more guards rush forward.
"Baran sent us. Jerinor and Hathol." They are each wearing uniform ring mail and green surcoats with the crucible device, and bearing a wooden shield, short sword, and shortbow. Lauriel, in comparison, wears chainmail and bears a flongsword and longbow. Corian looks over the band and then to you all. He looks ready to pursue, as does Galdar.
OOC:
TLDR: Arlen, the mayor, wants you to rush east towards the keep with haste. He is sending you with Lauriel, a guard and woodswoman who knows a shortcut. Also Jerinor and Hathol, guards. Shandril healed Ryenne for some points and gave the party two potions. She also offered her sword to Monaghan.
