ClosedMutant: Year ZeroPrivate1 / dayDmbrainiac
Mutant: Year Zero takes you to the world after the great Apocalypse. Humanity’s proud civilization has fallen. The cities are dead wastelands, winds sweeping along empty streets turned into graveyards. But life remains. Among the ruins, the People live. You are the heirs of humanity – but not quite human anymore. Your bodies and minds are capable of superhuman feats. You are mutants.

I've been reading through the core rulebook for "Mutant: Year Zero" and it looks like it is a very fun game. I am considering potentially running a campaign if there is enough interest. Is anybody interested in playing in such a campaign?

I would hope prospective players can post at least once a day to keep the game from stagnating. It would be an open-ended campaign. I’d run it for as long as the players remain interested and engaged.

It's completely new to me. I just grabbed the .pdf and started reading it, but I would most certainly be learning as I go.

That being said... if you're ok with that, I'm down.

Once daily wouldn't generally be an issue either, so the pace is easily doable.

I've read what I thought was MYZ. Turns out it was Mutant Chronicles instead... :)

That said, I do have it. MYZ is Year Zero Engine, and from Free League, so I'm definitely interested! And the pace would be perfect for me...

Maybe I should finally read my copy....

That’s perfectly fine. I just started reading the PDF yesterday so I’ll be learning as I go, too.

You’ve got time! I’ll be out of town without internet access all next week so I don’t plan on starting the game until at least June 19th.

Awesome! In that case, sign me up.

Excellent. Right now I have Knighthawke and MaJunior as down to play. I'm hoping to get at least four players before starting the game.

I'm interested as well. MYZ has been sitting on my shelf waiting for a good reason to be read.

I love all things Year Zero, but I just started two new games as GM, so I think I'll have to sit this one out.

So if there will be interest on the player side, are you considering playing this campaign "to the end" . Because as far as I know, those Y0E especially in mutants world , has some kind of "end goal" for each book/supplement ? I would really like to play a game that would provide a possibility to see the "end goal" as a player. Also very interested to try "the robots" supplement and wha has authors of the system planed for it. Are you considering - of corse if all will find the game fun - exploring those supplement too, in the future? I’m asking all of this, as I would like to join "long term group"(at least by the principle) if I’m going to deep dive in this system.

Two cavities for me joining the game:
- I don’t play at weekends, would that be a problem?
- I don’t have core rule book, but I’m starting to be very well versed in Y0E engine, as I work on its hack. But I have and have read quick start rules. Will that be ok also?

Yes, I am planning on running a campaign that slowly but steadily works towards an end goal. We will start with just the core book but I am open to adding the rules from the robot book later on.

I don’t post on weekends either, so no problem for me!

The quick start rules are enough to cover the basics. I can share the relevant rules from the core book when necessary if you don’t own the book yourself.

Okay, I have created the game and invited MaJunior, Knighthawke, Zagrave, and Pedrop. GreyGriffin, I’ll save the fifth spot for you if you are interested in joining as well. Let me know and I will send an invitation.
