The gnome nods. "This way then. I'll take you to my cave then. It's where I have been hiding at since I escaped the Castle. Names Gregory, nice to meet yall." Gregory says after tipping his pointy hat to everyone before motioning everyone to follow him.

Gregory smiles. "It's nice to meet all of you. And I live in a cave because of that and because the Goblins don't come in here because of that and dragons live in caves too. Luckily I have not ran into any of those yet. I did run into those mosquito creatures which I killed after discovering their hive and they almost killed me so hopefully I don't run into anymore. "

Gregory leads you all into a large cave with a fresh waterfall and underground lake inside. On a small stone table is a cup made from the top of an acorn and a large magnolia leaf as a plant. His backpack and sword lie on the side of it.
He finds extra acorn tops lying on the cave floor and asks them "Anyone want some water? I'll fetch you some from the lake in here. Get settled and I'll show you my plan."

Woody plops down on the floor by the wall pulling out his hand crossbow and oiling the firing mechanism and then the wood. After his preventative maintenance he loads a bolt in under the swing so he can quickly make ready to fire and then puts it back in his custom holster. The entire process is done in about 2 minutes.

Oliver takes the time out to look around the cave. How deep, other exits etc... he also sends his owl up to get a look up high to try and spot the castle. He wants to know where it is and how far.

"Mind if I come to see the lake in a cave Gregory? That sound quite amazing."
Atrius is genuinely intrigued by the lake and wants to see it, but noticing that Ollie is giving the cave a good examination scoping out their immediate safety and that Woody is making sure his weapons are ready, Atrius decides it’s a good ideato keep an eye on their new Gnome friend and make sure he’s not up to no good… just to be safe.

Gregory nods. "Sure, mr. Atrius. Come along. " He gathers all of the nut cap shells by himself and while trying not to lose his balance walks them down to the lake which is down a steep rocky incline but winding staircase.
"So, how long have you been an adventurer for?" He asks a moment later to Atrius.

Oliver sends his owl to see how far the Castle is. The owl returns an hour later and says in your mind
" The Castle rests on a gigantic mountain cliff near the crashing waves of the ocean. It will take you a while to get there as theres a winding road path going to the Castle but tons of goblin guards guard the front gates. I did see a
ladder on the side of the Castle where someone tried to break in before, but it looks like it was broken and tossed aside."

Flora looks to Todd and says "Go look further down the cave and let me know what you see."
Todd nods and sneakily walks further into the cave. A few moments, he returns.
"I don't know if our gnome friend knows this, but there is a large center room in the cave lit by tons of torches with a large cauldron and tons of weapons and other things in there. I think I stumbled upon a Gnoll Tribe's den. There were tons of large Teepees in there too with duck feathers as bedding in it too. So we might not be alone in here as we think, Flora." Todd says a moment later to Flora and whoever else that is in the room listening.
"Hey Woody, Oliver. Be on your guard. Todd thinks he saw a Gnoll tribe den further on in the cave." Flora tells them in warning.

Oliver and his owl familiar looks down the cave and don't see anything out of the ordinary. To the naked eye, it looks like a normal dwelling that is empty for now.
