Chapter 1: The Great Grain Robbery

Briarthorn took the good berries from Bottlespeaker graciously. "Thank you Bottlespeaker, I am uninjured but there may come a time that changes." he then addressed the group, "Do you think the Humans would have seen our kind? Or do we need to sneak about?"

"I fear that sneaking about will imply we have something to hide. We are on the side of right. Perhaps it's best we play the part." Reaching Rings answers

You wander into the village and find the square where an aspiring bard is practising her craft. Perhaps the lesheys are used the elves and faires, but this human really need to practice some more. A lot more!

Some people stare at you, while the elder nods in a respectful greeting.

Reaching Rings will try to help the bard entertain the crowd. They can't increase he skill, but they try to add to the performance by dancing along.
After her song is done, (and also after apologizing for not being able to help much) he will talk to the bard and ask her for information.

Popcorn scoffs at Reaching Rings' dancing. The snapdragon leshy growls at the humans in the square, trying to scare them into giving up information!

Watching as Reaching Rings and Popcorn begin to interact with the people in the square Briarthorn gives it a go, he finds an old person, old people have nothing to do but wait and watch until they die, so surely they will have seen something.

"Excuse me, have you seen a big man in boots clomping around with a wriggling bag that would have smelled of lavender?"

Bottlespeaker will join Briarthorn in his diplomatic efforts. "It is important that we for that man, the Sack contains two of our friends and we fear for their safety."

It takes time to get answers. You were in hot pursuit up till now, but now you spend time talking, yelling and convincing people that your quest in important. But finally, you are directed to an elder gentleman
When you describe the human you are tracking, and give him Glimmers description, he recognises him immediately. That sounds like ol’ Darius Wick for sure! He describes him as a bit of a strange fellow who isn’t much one for chatting and who tends to stay in his store on the south side of town. Crystals and Candlewax he calls his shop. Strange fellow, I tell you. He seems more interested in hosting parties for his fancy friends from the city than he does being a part of Petalbrook—not sure why he sticks around!

Everyone in town can direct you to his shop and soon you push open the door of Crystal and Candlewax. As the shop’s door swings open, a crystalline wind chime rings pleasantly. Far less pleasant is the shop’s overpowering aroma of jasmine flowers, which rises like a curtain across the threshold. Crystals of all shapes and sizes are displayed in fine glass cabinets and hung from the ceiling, while colourful candles adorn shelves that line the walls and floor.

I’m terribly sorry, it’s just I’ve never seen a walking talking plant before. Are you... customers? Can I help you?" Says the young teenage boy behind the counter..

Reaching Rings will let someone else do the talking, but will discretely look around to try and get the layout of the store. Possible exits, where valuables would be kept etc.

"Oh, nature abounds with amazing creatures of all sorts, we are known as the Leshy", Bottlespeaker replies to young man, "Yes, customers of sorts, we are looking Darius Wick on a matter of important business"

Briarthorn grumbled a bit about all the rocks and wax in the shop, humans and their need to pull nature from nature and put it inside of their homes and shops. Otherwise though he just stood with branchy arms across his chest and stared at the man who had addressed them.

"Oh,I'm afraid we will be disturbing him"

"More like Lavender" Briarthorn said gruffly to the kid. He then stepped menacingly toward him, "Those are our kin down there, step aside!" Briarthorn rested his branchy fingers upon the hilt of his sword to punctuate his command.

"Your master has been in the Verduran Forest disturbing nature and kidnapping Leshy" Bottlespeaker says with a sense of urgency. "He has lost the right to work in peace, show us to him."

The moment that the strange creatures draws weapons, Galan has other places to be. Down there he points to the basement door and then runs past you and out of the shop.

You open the basement door and goes down the stairs. A wooden table covered with crystals of various size, including three particularly large ones measuring nearly four feet in diameter, sits against the southern wall of this storeroom. Stairs lead up to the north, while a wooden door is tucked into the wall to the southwest.

"Let's find this despoiler" Bottlespeaker whispers. Bottlespeaker will approach the door and listen to see if he can hear anything.

Reaching Rings will follow Bottlespeaker, and guesture to let everyone know they are ready to open the door.

As Bottlespeaker takes the first step into the room, he notice the crystals on the southern desk. Their glow increases as they move closer
