Leave in the wind

Autumn watches the group of people from the shadows of the nearby shrubs. She has her bow at the ready, this is the first time she sees people not from her tribe, the Storm Walkers.

They seem peaceful enough for now. I should probably get some gift for them, they'll surely take that as a token of frienship. Some small game, rabbits or a deer will do.

@WandaPlays I am using you intro for Autumn
Welcome to the story :)

The group seems a bit lost, even with a road to follow and are obnoxious not at home in the woods. A single wagon overloaded and with 4 oxen suggests they may have had two and had to abandon a wagon at some point. The 8 people seem nervous and try to be alert but it is all too obvious the should likely go back to the city or wherever it is they are from.

Autumn quietly tucks the bow in its strap on her back and sneaks away from the group where she hopes to find some smaller game. She notes the direction back to these strange people, and then concentrates on the task she'd set for herself.

She prowls upwind and readies her bow without pulling it back. That comes only at the last moment, when the prey is securely in sight.

Totally correct and WOW. Awesome first roll! nice :)
Autumn easily finds a rabbit warren nearby and is able to catch several, knowing their number will not be affected. Cleaning and skinning the kills she makes her way back to the waking with the meat to share and furs to craft into something. She has not mastered tanning or leather work but she knows the basic of what to do and has managed serviceable clothes. fHer mother always nagged her to focus more on such skills and less on hunting but that was not Autumn's way.

The wagons have not moves since she left them and the people look to be trying to set up camp. As deep as they are in the wilds they should be better at this. Perhaps they lost their guide or were separated from the rest of their group?

Autumn keeps the bow stashed away and approaches the group while holding the rabbits in front, in her left hand. She looks for dry branches or other stuff on the ground that makes noise and deliberately steps on them on her way. When someone notices her, she continues walking slowly towards them, waving once or twice with her free hand.

"Greetings, strangers. I am called Autumn Leaves and I offer my help if you will have it."

She tires to be friendly, but still stays a little distance from them, both to avoid startling them and to be ready to run if need be.

Stepping out into the clearing Autumn still manages to startle half of the people despite all her "stomping" around. Three of the people, all of whom stand around the wagon, look to the fourth. The wagon is quite large and has traces for equally large draft animals that are nowhere to be seen. The people are all beastfolk, two goat-kin, a cat-kin, and a bird folk with a sword and bow. The birdman, garuda(?), stares keenly at Autumn

We will welcome any aid you provide. You were here earlier weren't you? At least I hope it was you. I thought I sensed something but then it left.
The cak-kin peers at you curious but the goat kin pull back towards the wagon clutching at simple staves tightly.

I was around earlier, watching you, and I decided not to come without a gift. And she holds the rabbits and their pelts ahead of her. If you will take it.

Autumn then steps closer to offer the gift to be taken.

I'm a wanderer, from the tribe of the Storm Walkers. - and she looks at the garuda with an expectant curiosity in her eyes.

Strange people. I gave this person my name but he ... she? ... didn't offer a name in return.

The bird blinks at Autum oddly before nodding to the cat-kin who takes the rabbits.

We thank the. I am calld Perssa. Will you sit and share a meal with us? Perssa is a pleasant lady and Autumn feels quite comfortable as they chat while Perssa and the goat-kin, Billy and Nanny, help with the meal preparations. Perssa explanins that they were sepporated from their wagon train in the storm several days ago.
Stangest weather we ever saw. The wagons ahead of us just up and vanished. Admittedly it was dark and with the wind and rain it was very hard to see but I have never lost a lead waggon that quiclky. Then after the storm clears up the next morning everything is all wrong. Sure there are still hills, a river, and road but not the ones we are familiar with and started with before the storm. We fixed the wagon yesterday while Kahash scouted but it soars we are good and lost. Kahash appears to be the Garuda who has wandered off to keep watch
