Cori eyes grow wide and he grips the handle of his axe tightly with both hands.

Oh me god, what could have done this? he thinks, fear sinking in.

Do I see anything as a cross the bridge or do I fall to my doom?

As Colten walks across the bridge it quickly becomes apparent that it may not be as strong as it appears. Without warning the bridge gives way and Colten falls straight into a pile of rubble at the bottom of the crevasse.

A maniacal laughter fills all of your heads. "Looked like that hurt?!" a high pitched voice shrieks into your mind.

"Ow. . .I'll be a moment." Colten managed to splutter out as he was lying at the bottom of the crevasse. I knew that was going to happen, and yet I did it anyway.

You alright my lad? Grab that rock if you need a light. I'll keep the spell going. I look around the local area to see if i notice a way colten can come out easily.

"I'm hurting, but alive." Colten says audibly enough for his voice to echo. Grabbing the lit rock, the nobleman gingerly walks over to the half-eaten corpse, taking a closer look to see who, or what it is before it was reduced to this state, and hopefully the identity of the killer.

As for the shrieking voice, Colten prefers to keep it in the back of his mind, for now. Whatever that is, I don't think it is human.

Colten is at 12/22 hp.

Cori puts his axe away and reaches in his pack for his coil of rope.

I knew this would come in handy

Cori turns to Etch and says timidly "Hey Mr. armour, do you think you could lift him out."

The bottom of the crevasse feels colder than Colten would have imagined as a unnatural chill comes creeps up his spine. Looking at the body it appears to have been dumped here after death but whatever has been gnawing on it has removed any clear signs of what may have killed the man. The remains of a heavy leather apron, with an embroidered 'TD' on the chest, still cover portions of the corpse.

Delg can easily see that the crevasse walls are rough enough that the noblemen shouldn't have any trouble climbing out.

"Right. . ." Colten said as he regains his composure. What in the nine hells is that voice?

Holding his hands up in surrender, the nobleman shuffles towards the wall of the crevasse. Gripping on whatever hand-holds were available on the walls, Colten attempts to climb out.

Right, It doesn't seem fair to talk to us from the shadows. Come out we'll have a pint and have a merry conversation. I got me plenty of stories to tell.

"Whatever it is, it is feeding on that poor fellow." Colten said, gesturing down the ravine at the corpse.
Oct 28, 2016 11:48 am
"Humans tend not to feed on corpses. That is the behaviour of a beast." Etch presses ahead, walking around the pillar and moving toward the far end of the room, scanning for the creature that is certainly hiding nearby.
Oct 31, 2016 9:30 pm
As Etch approaches the second bridge, a slight scuffling can be heard coming from the pillar across the ravine.

easy armored one or you and your friends might get hurt

Etch strikes a torch, then throws it across the ravine towards the far pillar while scanning the area for the source of the scuffling.

"If it is food you seek." Colten said audibly in the dark, hoping to convince the creature to come out. "There are a few fresh bodies just outside the cave."
