The nobleman stops by one of the bled-out bandits and drags the corpse in by the heels, trying his best to keep his clothing clean despite the earlier fall. . .again. No doubt he will need them mended soon at the rate he is falling. Trusting these country bumpkins with his finely tailored clothes, however, is not a prospect he wants to consider at the moment.

Bathed in sweat and breathing hard I say in between breaths. Perhaps... next ... time... we .... switch... sentry and... labor.... duties.

"I am an excellent sentry." Etch adds helpfully. After a moment, Etch speaks to no one in particular, "It seems... inappropriate to feed a beast. Is this acceptable because there is no writ declaring that this beast is to be slain? Perhaps it is instead because it is not furred?"

Etch stares into the creatures eye as it speaks, unsure if to trust the strange creature or push it into the crevasse...
