Colten calm down, we are able to keep going our "friend" back there said he would let us by. lets focus on the threats ahead.
Nov 11, 2016 5:09 am
"That's what I am trying to do." Colten said in a hushed whisper, his head snapping forward after they were sufficiently far enough from the staring creature.

Arriving at the end of the passageway, Etch unsheathes his greatsword and closes his hands over the grip. The static charge pulses from the gem set into the back of his right hand and runs up and down the blade. Then, he reaches out with the other hand and tries the door on his...

As the door swings open Etch sees four tough looking men sitting around a table, stacks of coins and trinkets are heaped on the table between them, and one of them appears to be in the process of rolling a set of knucklebones when they notice the door has been opened.

Seeing the Etch is clearly not a member of the Redbrands they all reach for the weapons.
OOC:
PCs get first crack at the bad guys. Take your actions and roll for initiative.

Without a word, Colten deftly stepped into the room, his sword unsheathed with speed that even surprised the nobleman himself. He was already on-edge thanks to that weird one-eyed thing, and was quite ready for a confrontation. The length of steel flashed forward in a graceful thrust at the closest bandit, driven by the intent to kill.

Etch strides in, reaching the men in two long steps. It hefts the greatsword, crackling with a slight jolt of electric energy, then brings it down on the nearest of the men with a cold and ruthless certainty.

Colten and Etch each rush forward to engage the surprised men, and while Colten's attack hits home, Etch's crackling blade misses wide, leaving his opponent wide eyed but unharmed.

Delg's bolt of fire streaks over the table, hitting the man on the far side directly in the chest. Patting the smoldering hole in his cloak he eyes his assailant and start to move towards him.
OOC:
I assumed Fire Bolt for Delg's attack based on the rolls.

Give Cori a day or two here to make an attack and we'll keep moving.

"Two!" Colten shouted as he attacked the injured man the second time in quick succession, his piercing blade darting forward with deadly accuracy. The nobleman may not have noticed it, but a faint grin is appearing at the corner of his lips.

Colten's expert handling of his rapier doesn't impress the man, but the second wounds stings just as bad as the first. He forces a pained smile before assaulting the nobleman with a quick torrent of curses.
OOC:
Since you all had higher initiatives than the bad guys you all get to start the round (with the exception of Colten who already went). Cori will go at the end of the round right after the RBs attack. Until I hear otherwise we'll assume Elttat is AWOL and continue on without him.

Round 1:
Colten, Delg, Etch

"Your concern is noted. These ones are merely slippery." As Delg makes his own errant attack, the construct adds, "Are you experiencing a malfunction yourself sir Delg?"
Nov 17, 2016 4:29 pm
Snapping my fingers a few times, I look at Etch Hehehe I think I might.

After an impressive stream of obscenities lobbed towards the nobleman, Colten's attacker strikes out in a more effective manner, landing two slashes across his chest. [12HP]

Cori and Etch quickly find themselves out numbered as all hell breaks loose around them. Two of the bandits team up on the man that appears to be the biggest threat in the room but neither of them are able to land a hit. Unfortunately for Cori he catches the brunt of his attacker's blows as the blade tears into flesh. [14HP]

Colten appears a little pale as crimson blotches bloom on his chest. As much as he would like to keep up appearances, the combination of the fall and the blood-loss is starting to take a toll. Panting audibly, the nobleman jabs at the bandit before him with his rapier once more.

Jabbing forward once again, Colten's blade finishes his attacker once and for all, the man falling to the ground holding his fatal wound.

Double teamed, Etch gets a little help from Delg's bolt, which strikes its target directly in the chest and disrupts his attack. Etch, concentrating on his other attacker brings his weapon straight down, nearly cleaving the man in two.

Cori and his opponent circle each other waiting for someone to make the next move. The lash out nearly simultaneously each connecting as both look to end the fight. [Cori takes 9 damage. He's at 3/23]
