Colten moves to stand by Cori's side while flanking the bandit. Despite looking a little pale, the nobleman moves with his usual grace and poise. Dipping the center of his gravity low in a half-crouch, he thrusts his sword forward under his opponent's armpit, hoping to slip the slender blade between the man's ribs.
OOC:
If the bandit attacks Cori or moves away, it will provoke Colten's sentinel.

Rushing to Cori's aid the injured nobleman wastes no time in dispatching yet another foe and the third man of the group drops dead to the ground, much to Cori's relief.

Etch's blade thrusts forward, but the move is telegraphed just enough the that last remaining opponent easily side steps the attack.
OOC:
Round 3:

Delg's bolt ends the battle, crashing into the last man and sending him flying to the floor. Cori drops to one knee, obviously hurt, not sure that he can continue on. On the table in the middle of the room you find 75cp, 55sp, 22ep, and 15gp. There is also a gold earring set with a tiny ruby.
OOC:
Removing Cori from the game at this point, since Elttat appears to be MIA.

Well then they were a silly bunch. At least they left us there coin for our trouble.

"Yeah. . .although it would be best if we took another breather." Colten said with a light huff, clutching the bleeding wound on his chest. Leaning down, he wipes his sword on one of the dead men's tunics before sheathing it, then looks around the room.
OOC:
Do Redbrand members carry bandannas that we could take as trophies to show the townsfolk later?

OOC:
Other than wearing grimy looking red clothing the members don't have anything that would set them apart from anyone else.

Colten sits down in one of the chairs that the Redbrands were sitting in, shoving away one of the corpses with his legs as he leans back while continuously applying pressure to the wound on his chest. Hopefully the bleeding stops before something else happens.

Dusting my self off from not getting dirty. Wow that was a close one. Best we don't get in another spat like that.

OOC:
Colten wouldn't mind another short rest, since he is pretty hurt >.>
Nov 28, 2016 3:33 pm
"You have sustained some injuries." Etch says to Colton, "It may be dangerous to rest here, but also dangerous to continue. Shall we we close the door and allow for you to repair yourself?"
Nov 28, 2016 4:52 pm
"I am not the only one injured here." Colten quickly eyed Etch and Cory. "A closed door and a few tables behind it should do the trick. If you disagree, we could always head back outside, find a picnic spot in the woods, and do the same. It might be best for Cori to head home at this rate anyway."
Nov 29, 2016 12:25 am
Cori nods his head. "I'm all for figuring out what's going on here, but I'm not prepared to die to do so" the halfling says, eager to be on his way.
OOC:
Short rest and continue on then?
Nov 29, 2016 12:26 am
"It seems wise to rest then. I will watch." Etch turns and stands facing the open door.
OOC:
Sounds good to me.
Nov 29, 2016 2:20 pm
After Cori leaves, Colten helps his companions construct a makeshift barricade with the tables and chairs available before sitting down to rest. Within minutes, the large oozing gash on the nobleman's chest had clotted over, leaving a wet scab that may easily reopen should he strain himself. Color returned to Colten's sun-kissed skin, and his breathing became much smoother, much more relaxed than before.

Once you've all taken care of your short rests you have the option of trying the door to the south, or across the hall to the north.

"I say we try our hand with this door." Colten says after the rest, pointing to the southern side of the room. It is amazing how much a little rest could lift the spirit. Despite his uncharacteristically battered appearance, the nobleman has recovered much of the spryness that he lost from his injuries.
Nov 30, 2016 1:17 pm
Don't see why not I'm game lads.
Nov 30, 2016 2:51 pm
Colten moves to open the southern door, anticipating another fight on the other side.
