Hi everyone,

I'm new to Gamers Plane, and table top games in general. I've been reading up on PBP and I would really like to play and learn more. If anyone has any advice on getting started or anything I would love to hear it!

Welcome, lemons. What kinds of games or genres intrigue you? What sparked your interest?

I'm really interested in fantasy and sci fi games, but I'm open to anything interesting. I've wanted to get into table top games for a while as I love solo RPG games, I've just never had any friends that are into any games like DND.

Keep an eye on the Games Tavern. There are some that might be looking for players, but you can see recent games there. New games come up sporadically but generally every few days to a week.

One thing that sometimes works is to pitch a specific "would like to play" idea. Like, "I'd really like to try a D&D game featuring horse riders on a great plain!" Like minds sometimes congregate on such an idea.
