I'm excited to host a one-shot adventure in the gritty world of Twilight 2000 4th Edition. If you're looking for a narrative-light, sandbox experience (i.e. random encounter hex crawl) in a post-apocalyptic Poland, you've come to the right place.
The Setting
The story kicks off just south of Lublin, where your characters share one burning desire - to reach Głuchołazy, their sole hope for escape from this war-torn hellscape. They've just embarked on a convoy promised to take them there, but their journey takes a harrowing turn when the convoy is viciously attacked.
Player Agency
The fate of your characters rests squarely in your hands. I'll provide the rules and facilitate the world, but it's your choices that will shape the story.
Character Creation
Let's keep it quick and straightforward. Roll a 1d1000 and use the stats from the following sheet. It should make for an interesting group. T2K1K-stats.docx (wordpress.com).
If you’re familiar with the rules, feel free to create your own character.
Posting Frequency & Commitment
Expect at least one post a day, with a bit of flexibility during holidays and real-life interruptions. If your character meets an untimely end, fear not - we'll introduce a new one to keep the adventure going. The adventure only ends when someone reaches Głuchołazy.
Who Can Join
Absolutely everyone is welcome! Whether you're a seasoned Twilight 2000 veteran or a newbie, this is a learn-as-you-go experience. I'm here to ensure it's a fun and positive journey for everyone. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
How to Join
Drop a comment below with what you’d most look forward to in this adventure.
The Need For Flexibility and Feedback
I am new to this ruleset and play-by-post. I am eager to see how this type of adventure (sandbox style with crunch) works in this format. This means that we will need to be flexible and adaptable when things don't go according to plan.
My initial concerns are on how to best present battlemaps with a hex grid and how to prevent the game from slowing down too much. I would like players to openly provide feedback on what is working and what is not working. This will help us to make the game as enjoyable as possible for everyone.
Questions?
Feel free to ask any questions right here in this thread or send me a private message if you prefer a more discreet conversation.
