Ok, she's all done. Let me know what mistakes I made (I'm sure there are some) and if you have any questions. I kept good notes during character creation. Haven't fleshed out my background yet.
haha, i made my character without realizing the forum was up. forgive me, i'm new to this site. i ended up making a face-style character too. is the game going to require a more diverse skillset? i can change up my character if required.
That's would be for the best, I prefer to play with small group : 3-4 players , the good thing is I can give more focus on each of your character but the drawback is that having two people play the same role can be problematic.
Do you have experience in Shadowrun?
As we have two new players, can I orient your choice to Magic/Matrix character. They are not mandatory in a shadowrun game but they ease the life of a shadowrun's group.
Now that we are all here, let's talk about the team. You can decide if you are already a team or if your fixer just made one. Because I'm a nice guy , you gain a free fixer contact. I will give you more info about him later.
A point that my previous team all ask me : Yes, you can share the same appartemment to reduce the lifestyle cost.
To make yours contacts seem more alive, I need a name and some info : their job, personality and every thing you can think about them.
You can include hook if you want, GM loves hook, it's like a drug. But I won't surprise anyone if I said that the first mission will come from the free fixer. :)
Well, if we have a decker and a face I guess that leaves us with muscle and magic? Or a rigger, nothing says muscle like a tricked out Steel Lynx.
Quick question for our illustrious GM: What books are you allowing?
The illustrious Gm allow mostly the core book but if you have an idea with an other book we can discuss it. I never had a Rigger player : I'm curious to see what you will do with it. :)
I was thinking Rigger 5.0 for the vehicles/drone and the upgrade options for vehicles and drones.
Looking at an ex-CAS military Rigger who was based on the Texas/Aztlan border
For the players:
Already a team? Planned Lifestyle? If we're sharing space I'd have given you access to the sweet garage.
so then, would you like me to switch to something magic so the newbie can play a street samurai? a rigger is not a decker, i'm just thinking of ability spread.
What I love with Shadowrun is that you can do any character you want, as you are not chosen by destiny but by Johnson and fixer. It is in their interest that you succeed so if you lack magical power they won't send you against major magic force.
So do the character you want , the plot will adapt itself and if one day you need an additional skill for a mission, you can still call a friend.
