Based on your description of skills likely useful in the adventure, I've changed the character I built from being and actor, to being another stage magician. Had trouble with the form-fillable PDFs so put him in this Google Sheet

Info in the images below - they have high Charm, Slight of Hand, and Arts/Craft Stage Magic, and intermediate First Aid, Medicine, Listen, Psychology, Spot Hidden, and Stealth.

Just let me know if this needs changes.

The game has built in character sheets for CoC. You need a character sheet on GP. Also I use the optional rule that skills cap out at 75% for character creation so readjust a bit from charm and stage magic. Otherwise looks good. The adventure actually gives advice on creating a magician profession if you want to use it:

I'm between Idella and Peter. Could I see their background info?

Definitely Idella, thanks! I'll get to putting the sheet together.

I've edited the GP character sheet for the magician for Charm and Stage Magic, and just submitted the sheet.

"To, to, to, to… to say that there is no magic in the world is to, to me frankly preposterous.

Forget for a moment the sheer arrogance of the statement, the, the sweeping generality of it, and simply consider how, how ordinary the world would be without it; how, how banal!

No… Our ancestors believed there was something more to, to, to all of this. More than that, they knew it! They practiced it; as, as do I!"

Rolls!

Rolls

3d6, 3d6, 2d6+6, 3d6, 3d6, 3d6, 2d6+6, 3d6

3d6 : (321) = 6

3d6 : (264) = 12

2d6+6 : (54) + 6 = 15

3d6 : (365) = 14

3d6 : (252) = 9

3d6 : (441) = 9

2d6+6 : (44) + 6 = 14

3d6 : (163) = 10

Intelligence - (2d6+6)

(51) + 6 = 12

Submitted! I don't see a luck score on the pre-gens though, so rolling that here.

Yeah Luck is never included in pre-gens I've noticed. Nice looks like we can start today!

So I overlooked the very first page of the pre-gens which says Keepers should give an extra 70 points to customize their characters. So, anyone who used a pre-gen please put 70 points in any skills that don't have skill points already.

Story Hooks

Charles Wilde was contacted by magician Max Marvello via letter that states his unease and worry that the renowned magician Memphis the Great has new tricks that no other magician has been able to solve. Max doesn't believe in the supernatural but he's been so hounded by the solution to this trick that he's taking any chance and reached out to Charles for his opinion. Memphis has mysteriously disappeared about six weeks ago. Max has arranged a meeting at Nelson's Restaurant for the following night, and suggests to see the magic show of Harold Hawkings tonight at The Wilbur Theater, as he was Memphis' protege and may offer some insights into Memphis' disappearance or his tricks.

Idella Brown is in town for a few days during a stop on her flying circus tour with her twin brother John Brown who keeps the planes maintained during the tour. Idella has passed through Boston a few times on tours and has made acquaintances with Ingrid Schwartz, daughter of Memphis the Great, during those stops. When Ingrid heard that Idella and John were in town, she arranged tickets for Idella and John to see her fiancée Harold Hawkings' magic show at The Wilbur Theater where they can catch up.

Nakane Yuna is an investigative journalist. She was recently contacted by Memphis the Great's lawyer, George Pickering, of Pickering & Palmer, Attorneys-at-Law in Boston. He was impressed with some of Yuna's past articles and explains he wants to employ her services to investigate recent events involving his client. He has scheduled a meeting for the following morning.

Barrington Van Ness is a local Boston magician of average talent. He tours the New England area occasionally but mostly performs in Massachusetts. He is attending the performance of Harold Hawkings, a slightly more successful magician at the familiar The Wilbur Theater as recent rumblings among the other magicians at Nelson's Restaurant say that something has changed about Harold in recent weeks and he hasn't been showing up to the weekly magician's meeting.

I only have the quick start rules. Are these spread out in increments or just all in one skill?
