When a brutal gang war breaks out on a docking bay in Absalom Station, the player characters are recruited by the Starfinder Society to investigate the unexpected bloodshed. Delving into the station’s seedy Spike neighborhoods, the heroes confront the gangs and discover that the real reasons behind the bloodshed are far more complex than they could have initially anticipated and concern a new arrival in orbit around the station: a mysteriously deserted ship and the strange asteroid it recovered from the Drift.

I have recently discovered that I enjoy the Starfinder setting and adventures quite a lot. I do find the very D&D-esque system a bit burdensome at times, however, so I wanted to give an alternative a shot. This game will play through the Starfinder adventure "Incident at Absalom Station", but using the Savage Worlds system, which I think should be a pretty good fit to hit the same kind of style as Starfinder does but in a somewhat lighter system. Incident at Absalom Station is the opening adventure to the Dead Suns Adventure Path, but I am not currently planning on actually running through the whole path, just this first adventure. (I'm actually planning to run a different adventure path after this and I'm hoping to get some insight on how well SW works for this before deciding on a system for that.)
➢ I'm looking for about 4 players for this game, with a daily posting rate. I will create a Discord server for this that I expect all players to join. I think especially for character creation that will be useful, as we're attempting to figure out how to best convert Starfinder races and classes to Savage Worlds.
➣ Speaking of that, I would appreciate some familiarity with Savage Worlds, but it is not necessarily required as long as you have access to the book and can look things up. No familiarity with Starfinder beyond a basic idea of the setting is necessary as this module is meant as an introductory adventure for the setting. All information on races and classes is available for free online so you can find your character inspiration there rather easily. I'd be happy to help with mechanically creating your character. I've used the race-building system in Savage Worlds before and found it pretty neat, so I'm sure we could figure out how to recreate some of the iconic alien species. Though I'm also happy with just reflavoring races in the book. Basically, we can figure it out together.
➣ If you're interested, just let me know here in the thread or in a private message. This game is not first come, first serve, so feel free to apply even if there already seems to be enough interest. You're welcome to already suggest character concepts but it's not a requirement. The characters would be the equivalent of Lvl 1 characters who are traveling to Absalom Station to apply to join the Starfinder Society.
➣ This game will contain violence as well as a small amount of body horror. I don't really foresee anything else questionable coming up but I will be asking about lines and veils in the game to make sure everyone is comfortable.
➢ This game is of course explicitly open and welcoming to members of any minority groups.
