Footsteps approaching, Idella attempts to duck quickly into another one of the rooms in the hallway.

With Edith safely on her way to the hospital, Barrington makes his way back into the theatre. Having helped treat Edith, he wants to talk with Harold about the accident – to understand how it happened, to help Harold avoid it happening again, and maybe, yeah, and maybe to get angry and confront him for about being so damn careless...!

John watches as Idella jumps sideways into one of the rooms at the sound of footsteps... Shaking his head.

"Seriously sister, it would be perfectly normal for you to be back here to check on your friend and her husband. Quit looking guilty before someone figures out you are."

Hearing the footsteps approach and seeing the woman ahead of her start to slink off the slide, leaving (apparently) her brother standing in front of the door, Yuna does what any investigative journalist would do in such a situation.

She quits tailing back and boldly charges forward, excusing herself past the others, and reaches the door, opening it before the person on the other side gets a chance. Notepad and pencil in hand, but held down at her side, she wears a disarming smile to greet the person on the other side.

"Hello, I am Yuna Nakane. I was hired by George Pickering, and would like to speak with our star of tonight's show, if I may?" While her English is quite good, it is clearly a second language for her and an accent is noted beneath the overtones of her speech.

Idella shoots her brother a sharp look before sighing and re-emerging into the hall. "You're right. Sorry, the show has me a little on edge. Plus, no one likes a snoop."

Charles, seeing an opportunity to search out more information, approaches the ambulance, and the injured woman. He fishes a card out from inside his coat pocket, and tries to hand it to the woman.

"I saw everything, Miss. Should you need anyone to provide themselves as a witness to your injuries, I’d be more than happy to!"

Charles searches the woman’s face as he speaks with her, trying to peer beyond the injuries, and trying instead to garner something beneath the blood.

Charles puts up a hand, as if the woman was truly about to take the time and speak with him.

"Now, don’t you trouble yourself with me! If you need my help, you call that number and they’ll take a message on my behalf."

He gives her a pitying look, and then leaves her to her injuries. When he has to opportunity, he will speak to the man (Barrington) who had administered air to the woman. He’ll use the shared experience to break the ice.

"Simply terrible! Dreadful really. And so easily avoided, wouldn’t you say, Mr…?"

OOC:
No, Ingrid went into the room first with Harold while the other three followed her and then eavesdropped. You arrived just as Harold is leaving.

OOC:
Barrington didn't exit the theater. You're currently outside the theater with Edith and the ambulance people. Are you heading inside to talk to Barrington?

Yeah! That makes sense to me! Come back in out of the cool air huffing and puffing about all the happenings.

Sounds good! The gangs all together then.

"Hold up, Harold!" calls Barrington - holding out both hands, palms up, towards Harold, as Harold is leaving the room.

"If you're looking for Edith, don't worry - I treated her sounds, and she is already in an ambulance, on her way to hospital. We got to her quickly enough, she should be fine."

"But what's gotten into you, Harold? Something's up. Your new tricks should be... impossible...? But also - what went wrong? Why did Edith get injured? Talk to me, Harold. I want to help."

Idella moves to Ingrid and places a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Ingrid, dear, what's wrong? I think someone treated the assistant, hopefully she'll be alright."

John takes a keen interest in this new fellow, He sounds like he's on some terms with Harold...And has some brass to approach him like that.

Charles wanders into the space, shaking his head at the senseless injury. He had hoped to catch that fellow, to see what people made of this Harold tonight, but it seems as if something is already brewing; an account being sought publicly.

Charles plays the part of the polite passerby, and listens in all the while.

Yuna steps back, scowling. "There, see?" she says at the man's words, "your assistant will be fine, the ambulance has her. Are you okay, Mr. Harold? You seemed to have a bit of a spell there, for a moment, just before that last trick went so poorly."

Ingrid Schwartz
"I hope so as well. I will bring her some flowers tomorrow, I think. This night has left me exhausted. I feel just terrible about inviting you to a night that has turned out so dreadful. Here, contact me tomorrow in the morning. I'm staying at the Adagio Hotel. I'll make it up to you." Ingrid forces a smile and gives one last glance at Harold before departing.

Harold watches Ingrid walk away then looks around at everyone. "Well, I shall visit Edith at the hospital tonight after I settle things here." He then visibly shakes himself and offers a warm smile. "Yes, I am fine, thank you, Miss Nakane. Just a slight bout of dizziness." He pauses. "Where are my manners? I am not used to having so many fans waiting for me after a show. Well, don't just stand in the hallway, please, come in."

The room is not very large and feels a little too intimate with six people stuffed inside it. There is a large table against one wall with a giant mirror and proper lighting for applying makeup and checking costumes. There's a partition near the right wall for privacy while changing, a costume rack which hangs several costumes, and scattered around are a few boxes and trunks likely containing props and costumes. There are only two chairs and Harold takes one.

He takes a deep breath. "I would like to make this short as you can understand this has been a shocking night. To begin with I--nor any magician--discusses their tricks, so I am sure you can understand that I can't answer any questions about that," he says while looking at Barrington. "Sometimes there are mishaps. A great many magicians have died during their tricks, so let's be thankful nothing so tragic has happened tonight. Clearly one of my props was not properly maintained. Or else it was sabotage."
