Seeing that the trunk was locked, Barrington shrugged and said to the group:
"Alright, I don't feel good about breaking into Harolds stuff... er... yeah..."
He paused awkwardly...
He resumed:
"Yeah. I know I was all keen to see inside the trunk a moment ago, but I just don't feel right forcing my way into something Harold has locked away."
He moved out of the room, turning after he'd gone through the doorway, and said to the others:
"It seems like we've got a lot of common interest here, though, about what strangeness has been taking place here tonight. I'm heading over the road from the theatre to Nan’s Kitchen - I could really murder a plate of their chicken and waffles. Anyone of yous wants to join me there to compare notes, you're very welcome to join me."
He looked around to see if anyone wanted to join him, saw at least Idella catch his eye, and turned, heading out to the diner with anyone who wanted to join him.
