And… quick question for the GP experts… am I missing an easy way to get to the game’s "summary" page? It seems like you have to click "Games," then "My Games" and navigate to it there to see everyone’s characters. That… can’t be right, can it?
If you're in the game, like here, then Game Details is at the bottom right of the screen in the red navigation bar.

If we've submitted characters, like I have, then click the character name below the reply text box.

If you look at latest game posts from the front page, then finding the game there should be easy.

One easy connection would probably be with Harrigan's soldier.
Her dad works closely with the U.S. DoD and international intelligence/defense agencies, so it wouldn't be unheard of for her to have tagged along to some conference/military demonstration and ran into him. Who brings a child to a missile test?!? Dr. Nicholas Williams, that's who. Mainly because if he doesn't she'd somehow be up to her waist in quicksand somewhere trying to evade Thuggee cultists after some idol...that's why.

Running into the Actor or Driver, that might take a little more doing but perhaps on a backpacking trip through Europe?

Awesome! Thank you. I somehow missed that lower task bar.

So we have Windy as the driver, a female British, Shirley Muldowney. A bit of a gadgeteer, too.
Oh! I think I missed this earlier. Sounds like the Belgian is no longer Belgian!
My mistake, she's as Belgian as a waffle.

A backpacking trip is a possibility. She might have gone there after the crash to clear her disfigured head?

Got it!

The characters aren’t required to have a connected past, but I’d love for everyone to have at least one tidbit referencing another character. It could be as disconnected as, "I’ve heard about tht guy/gal. Stuff they keep out of the official records."

Sorry I’m lagging. Traveling for work again so it’ll be the weekend before I can be time into this. Possible to start and have me join late? I hate to hold things up.

I think we can wait. So far only Qralloq has a character posted. We’ll get there!

And here I thought I had submitted my character. 🫢 I'll work on that ASAP.

I give you Laura Taylor with her mask on of course. Laura Taylor is not her real name.

Thanks for getting those characters submitted, @witchdoctor and @Windyridge! Very cool! And, I love the character portraits so far! Good, good stuff!

If it is okay, I think I will get a first post up. Harrigan, I’ll buy you a little time, if you think you can be ready in a few days.

Just a point of clarification, Windy, you’re listing your character as Laura Taylor now. Is this an alias? You had described her earlier as Shirley Muldowney, so I’m trying to understand if that was just a name change or something else.

Hey everyone, remember to share your characters...
Nov 4, 2023 11:44 pm
And... I do need someone to connect with.

Cool! No need to punt Harrigan further down the plot, then! I’m nearly ready to put up the first post.

I think Commander Murray would have a fair shot at connections with any of the other characters.

He could've met Friday at a UN missile test somewhere since Dr.Williams often has his daughter in tow to keep her out of trouble. Unfortunately, trouble was still to be had. NATO Scientists were being murdered at the remote site seemingly by the withered hands of a preserved Atacaman mummy. It took Friday and Cmdr. Murray to uncover the true killer, one of their own fellow scientists jealous that funding was being directed away from his project (freeze drying food for the space program by studying the mummies of the Atacama plateau) because of missile test cost overruns. AKA: The Attack of the Aztec Mummy, or the Atacama Murders. *the mummy wasn't Aztec in origin but try telling that to the newspapers...

As for Ms. Taylor, maybe she and Friday met up at a Monaco Le Mans race where Friday ran afoul of the Mystery of the "Formula1 Fantomé" and sought Ms. Taylor's advice and gadgeteering skill to uncover the mystery racer in the glowing racecar running racers off the track. Maybe that's the race where Ms. Taylor was disfigured(?)

Now for Mr.Weis... Perhaps they met while Mr. Weis was on holiday auditioning for a plum part in a small production by a highly esteemed (and very eccentric) director in his rural hometown. The two ran into each other trying to figure out the disappearance of the Lead Understudy. The Understudy faked his disappearance to frame the director and it took Friday's smarts and Weis' acting skills to uncover the truth and clear the director of charges. AKA: The Case of the Hostile Hostel, or the Underhanded Understudy.
