So, I've put out two GM requests and neither have gotten any bites...each one I've provided lots of material to use...this time I'm going to go the opposite direction.
The only requirements are as follows:
1. system: 5e
2. Gestalt ( https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Gestalt_(5e_Variant_Rule) )
3. Resources allowed (anything found here http://dnd5e.wikidot.com/ ; though, no homebrew material)
4. Party size (3-8; GM choice)
5. Level (GM choice - I have the character concept planned out to at least 16th and can start it at any point from 1-16 and can add levels if necessary)
6. Combat is great, but also looking for opportunities for cloak and dagger/espionage, diplomacy, puzzle/problem solving, intrigue/mystery
7. I plan to play a Changling (Charlatan background) with Rogue on one side of the gestalt build; the other side will be multiclassed and the level of game will depend on what classes those are at time of game start (no more than 3 class by 20th if it ever goes that high).
8. Posting - I can go with whatever comes my way. Preferring often over infrequent.
9. Regardless of starting level, my hope is that the intent is to see this run as an epic campaign, spanning as many levels as possible.
10. All characters use the same stat array (18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8) and start with character wealth based on starting level, using the following chart: https://olddungeonmaster.com/2021/03/02/dd-5e-character-wealth-per-level/
11. Possible pitches (if you have something else in mind, that's great too).
a. The characters are combatants in a gladiator arena. The fight to the death and then are brought back to life to fight another day. Some cataclysm or kingdom wide threat has a group of gladiators enlisted to serve some purpose that if successful, would earn them their freedom. (Think Dark Sun-ish)
b. The characters are all retired adventurers who have all become members of a traveling circus (using their skills/abilities acquired through adventuring as the foundation for their individual circus acts). Something occurs that brings them back out of retirement.
c. the characters are a member of a fantasy version of a black ops unit, performing tasks for the kingdom and the realm that they can't, given their desire to appear to have clean hands.
d. the characters all belong to a fantasy version of a detective agency and solve cases (sherlock holmes-ian)
