Outnumbered, but undeterred! Oh that our knightly fellow evades, maintaining defensive position astride Loyal Steed. All while slashing at the gnoll with his trusty sword.

Take that, he exclaims, hopefully not prematurely. Intent upon cold steel finding knightly purchase! Calloused hand holds tight to the reins. Trying to keep Loyal Steed stable and stayed against exhaustion.

Hang in there, old girl. I know it’s been a long day!

Ander fails to land another blow as he stays on the defensive but the double team gets past his guard landing 3 blows to him. Now gravely wounded (2/6 HP) it may be best to retreat
OOC:
3 rolls with results 5 or higher is 3 hits, all 3 of your evade rolls are below 5 so they all hit. If you get a shield later with a trait then evade is 2d6 each

Heavily wounded and stride atop a heaving huffing horse to boot, Ander decides best to cut and run with his tail between his legs fall back.

I’ll live to fight another day! I’ll get you scoundrels! Or well, if I can’t, then I’ll at least go get someone who WILL! Get you, I mean!

With that parting shot of knightly repartee, Ander tries steering his horse around and back towards the caravan!

Ander is able to quickly and easily break free from the gnoll but unfortunately Scython is right on his heals and appears to be trying to ride Ander down before he can get back to the wagon trains. The gnoll moves to mount up as well but you see him rush off in another direction.
OOC:
If you have any ideas on how to escape or survive the chase let me know or you can just roll a couple of horsemanship tests, 3d6 from your background, to outrace Scython.

Oh, how our knightly fellow pushes his mount forth!

"Keep your stride, Loyal Steed! We must evade this villainous foe, and all good things like that!" Gauntleted hand steers the reins. Hoping to create dust-ridden distance between the traitor Scython and his knightly noble self!

"You won’t get away with this, Scython!"

You skilled horsmanship alllows you to lengthen your lead and the tiefling breaks pursuit cursing loudly as you ride into sight of the wagons. On th far side you note that the group of gnolls you originaly spotted are near the wagons, that have formed up into a deffensive circle, and look to be talking with them. Your rapid ride has been noticed and a few of the wagoneers and guards eye you questioningly as you get close. The wagons circle has the draft animals inside the circles, so they are sheltered from attack behind the wagon ahead of them, making it more of a spiral about 60 foot in diameter. All of the guards, scouts, and wagoneers look allert but not anxious as they chat and wait for things to get resolved with the wagontrain master and the gnolls.
OOC:
I like the noble comentary and am getting flashes of an ongoing comic strip of Ander.

Our knightly fellow brings Loyal Steed to a trite trot. Evan as he approached the circular pattern of wagons.

Emerald eyes attempt eye contact with Wagontrain Master, or one of his lackeys lieutenants.

"Good sir, or madam! I found Scython conspiring with one of the gnolls! I was heavily wounded, but have returned to offer my competent aid!"

Perhaps that our knight needn’t give that entire soliloquy, as his player gets a post in amidst break at work. Or perhaps he does, and it’s marvelous!

Pontus
The gnolls do not react much and look unconcerned but the wagon master's gaze hardens. A few soft words to a guard at his side who runs off into the wagons is all he says in way of reaction before turning and smiling at the mounted gnolls.

Well good sirs I am sorry but it looks like misfortune has found my merccantile enterprise. I shall have to ask your forgiveness as I will not be able to host you at this time. But, I will be back this way is a couple of weeks. If you are still in the area at that time I can centanly entertain you then.

Though his words are polite and he is acting friendlier than you have ever seen the wagonmaster resolutely refuses to allow the gnolls into, or even closer to, the wagons. This offends the gnolls who become antagonistic.

Roll a test for me please, 2d6

Ander watches warily. His knightly gaze fixated on the Wagontrain Master and his unusual demeanor.
Quite the dilemma, Ander thinks to knightly self!

You get the impressions the gnolls were a bit surprised, and annoyed, at your statement about the gnoll collaboration. Pontus thanks your for your warning and informs everyone not to allow Scython back but to get his horse from him if he returns. You wait out the remainder of the day and following night on high alert with bright torches and lanterns lit throughout.

In the morning another scout is given one of the horses and told to accompany you on a dawn patrol. You find track that indicate you were being watched much of the night but no sign of the gnolls or Scython. The wagons continue on their way and after another couple days you make it to the base.
