Game System
Twilight 2000 4E with emphasis on the tactical wargaming aspects of it.

What is this?
I’m experimenting with a different format and length for my pbp games. My previous attempts at one-shot adventures went on much longer than anticipated.

This "SpritualSocket Mini" will essentially be: Character Creation -> A Roleplay Scene -> An Extended Encounter -> A Roleplay Scene -> End.

I’m experimenting with a few things, but I think it will all goes smoothly. I’ll reach out for feedback when the adventure is complete. It’s possible that a character dies.

The Story
YOU ARE A SURVIVOR. Whether soldier or civilian, you have experienced the horrors of World War III, but you refuse to let them break you. No matter what, you are determined to live another day. And one day, maybe, just maybe, find a way to fix this broken world.

However, amidst the remnants of this desolation, a new battle presents itself – the assault on Christmas. Returning from a scavenging mission, you discover that a disciplined military force has ruthlessly raided your settlement, plundering it of all the carefully gathered toys. Their motive? To shatter the festive spirit, casting a shadow over the joy of children and crushing the morale of your community.

In the wake of this heartless act, you refuse to be a passive witness. A fire ignites within you, fueled by the injustice of stolen merriment. Defying the odds, you make the bold decision to confront these marauders, to reclaim what they've stolen and restore the essence of Christmas. Even if the price is steep, and the outcome uncertain, you stand resolute against a world where such injustices are allowed to persist. In your heart, the mission is clear – to bring back the light of hope and joy, refusing to let the darkness prevail.

Everyone! You don’t need to know how to play or even what’s going on.

Posting Frequency
I’ll match the frequency that the group decides on. That could be multiple times a day to once every few days. That said the idea behind this adventure is to have it be short and sweet.

This is possibly a dumb question, but I'm going to ask...

Which edition of T2K?

(Assuming 4th, as it's the newest... but figured I'd ask, since I'm like 90% sure I have the 1E box in a closet somewhere. Lol)

Good question. It’s 4th edition. I’ll update the post to reflect that.

I’d like to try this! Short and sweet might be a good way to get some use out of the Twilight box sets sitting on my shelf!

I have the Twilight 2000 Player's Guide (Alpha) on .pdf. I'm legit not even sure how I ended up with it, but I don't think that's the core 4E rulebook?

(I'm not allowed to buy myself game books or .pdfs the last three months of the year, because presents.)

You don’t need to have the rules if you’re interested in playing. I post the basics in a reference page. Plus I’m sure the alpha rules are close enough.

The players guide has all the rules you need to play. It’s the core rulebook.

Is it? Well heck, I guess I'm good then. I was sure it was the secondary book (I blame WoD).

Um, I was gut shot in the opening salvo of my Last T2K game... I'd love to play!

I'm just hopping in here to say that I can't play, but this is a really fun system that I've really enjoyed playing IRL. Highly lethal and not too complicated. You should all give it a solid try :)
