Kris moves an engages the last of the bloody skull-faced fiends. Her blade strike true and the enemy is finally vanquished. She realizes that she is dangerously close to large patch of reaching black tentacles.

Out of the magic circle a writhing mass of teeth, tentacles, and sharp barbed claws emerges. The thing open too many mouths in its hovering amorphous body and shrieks a hideous challenge to the still standing Champions. It surges forth in a chaotic swirling miasma, striking out at its prey and slashing Kris savagely with one of it barb-tipped appendages.

Natrix hissed loudly as the many tentacled thing tried to impale her. With an arcane word, she disappeared then reappeared next to Lucian. Her staff flashed briefly as another warding hemisphere appeared around the pair.

"Your force ssshield, Lucian! We only have to sssurvive till the end of the next round!"

Lucian moves as close as he can to the others and through the globe. He takes a beat to plan before he taps his staff of the ground to set up the protective dome. "Sorry, Kris. I can't get you in." Which he felt bad about, but he wasn't letting that tentacle mouth mass stay inside. As the wall cut through the creature, Lucian was able to force it outside of the dome as he ensured everyone else was fully inside. Then he sat down where he was. Nothing could get through this wall, but if anything could for some reason it would be far too powerful to survive anyway. "Hope you guys are good in here, because I'm not dropping it."

Move to J11
Cast wall of force via staff. Makes a 10ft radius dome around them. Centered on above him on J10, which hits everyone but Kris as I cannot figure out how to hit her with an edge and not keep the black circle (I think it's the tentacle monster?) fully inside of the wall. As it is, it will cut through the black circle and Lucian will choose to push it out onto the other side of the wall but not into Kris. Tajuri will be pulled into the dome, unless already fully inside.

@Equinox,@annex I can't put the doe around anyone else if Natrix makes the move to E11. If it's alright, I would say she stays where she is and I can work the wall the best there. I wrote my post with this in mind, but if I need to adjust it - Natrix can't change her bonus - let me know and I'll rework it

"I will not take the coward's way and leave my young companion, the Lady Kris, to the likes of this monstrosity." Killian growls, as Lucian and Natrix erect their arcane constructs of protection. Her hefts his massive demon great axe, and stepping out of the sphere of influence before it engulfs him, wades into the chaos beast.

His axe howls as it bites deep into the viscous hide of the aberration. Its demonic glee is punctuated by inhuman shriek of the thing, as black ichor splatter forth forth the wound and cast off of Killian's unholy weapon.

Even though she knew Killian and Kris were far more likely to survive the tentacle monster and whatever more horrible threat was sure to appear so close to the deadline, Natrix felt a pang at being called a coward.

"Thisss is a war againssst time, not powersss and principalitiesss! We win by avoidance!" Natrix called after Killian.

Natriix wasn't certain the fields of negation and force were sufficient but she would fight in her own way, the way in her blood, with the magic in her veins.

Lucian watched Killian go and shrugged. "I've died already, and Kris isn't exactly weak. Sometimes being a coward is the better choice, sometimes it isn't." He looked at Natrix, who seemed quite concerned at being called a coward. "We're back line casters, he's a front line hitter. Different mindsets." Useless curled on his shoulder, and seemed to have the same feeling he did - survival mattered more than honour or pride. That others didn't agree was fine, he wasn't about to tty and convince them. But he didn't relish another near death experience quite yet.

Taj lets the forming protective walls of arcane energy push her out as she's standing on the edge of their influence.

"Azzamorach! Nilgrath'a transyr'a!" She commands and the seething black crossbow transforms back into her demon naginata. She leaps into the air and strikes with a blur of fury, The naginata, borne on black inky tendrils, carves into the nightmarish creature.

The inferno of the massive burning web extinguishes and the huge field of black grasping tentacles vanishes, as the three swirling bodies of purple mist reappear at the edges of the battlefield. The one in the northwest holds up the glowing orb of dark violet energy that had first manifest at the beginning of the fight. The orb streaks toward the combination wall/globe of protection and passes right through it and explodes on contact with Lucian' shoulder with a blinding flash of violet light.

Upon impact, the three bodies of mist become solid forms once more. Lady Naustia stands to the northwest, Master Fane is to the west, and Lady Cybrexia is in the southeast.

Upon impact with Lucian's shoulder the violet orb explodes in a flash of blinding light, disorienting both Lucian and Natrix momentarily. Their protective spells fizzle out leaving them once more exposed to the machinations of the beast and their assessors. Not quite as fortunate as his counterpart, Natrix, Lucian is blinded by the flash before his eyes.

"Natrix. I can't see. Are you still with me?" He cries out.

I noticed both the weapon's Venomed and Speed ability, combined, give attack and damage +3. If I'm not mistaken, her attack and damage should be +1 higher than I previously had on her sheet. Correct me if I'm wrong - should be attack +13 damage +9?

Kris makes devastating effect of her bladesong and carves huge wounds into the tentacled monstrosity. Gouts of sickening dark ichor sprays and oozes from the thing's injuries, as it shrieks in pain and rage, thrashing about wildly against its opponents. Striking out with its multiple barbed appendages, the thing slashes Killian and then thrashes Tajuri with a massively successful attack.

Reeling from the monster's vicious attacks, Tajuri finds her footing and slashes wildly at the tentacled creature. Her first attack distracts the thing, as she reverses her cutting arc with the demon naginata and tears into the eldritch horror.

Natrix' arcane missiles strike the aberration. As it shrieks in pain, Tajuri retaliates against its attack of her and slashes into the monstrous creation, hitting with two devastating blows. Killian swings down toward the feel beast, but even as his massive black greataxe blade falls upon it, the thing writhes in agony and disintegrates into the mosaic tiles of the floor.

The Champion brace for a final attack by the three assessors that have reappeared at the edges of the battlefield, yet none are forthcoming. Master Fane claps his hands once to signal the day's fight is over.

Somewhere, in his extra-dimensional confinement cell, Radu feels a tingling sensation tugging at him and then discovers he has returned to the battlefield.
