Interest check: Umerika Dungeon Crawl Classics

Not long ago, I picked up several Umerika books. That's the hyper-gonzo post-apocalyptic setting for Dungeon Crawl Classics. I had been hoping to play a game with my local friends, but that hasn't panned out. So I'm thinking of running it here on GP.

This will be my first time running a DCC-based game, though I have played DCC for about a year now. I haven't played Umerika though. I've run other games on GP, but it's been a little while. Bottom line: might be a little rough at first.

It would probably be a moderate-paced game (3-4 GM posts/week). Might speed up a little after I get the hang of it.

As part of this interest check, let me know if you would be interested in starting with a funnel or jumping into a level 1 game. I'm up for either one.

I also got the Umerica book and dug into the Crawling Under a Broken Moon zines but then ended up focusing more on MCC since there was more published material for it. I've always wanted to try Umerica, I just love that there are greys and robots as PCs!

I am interested, but I am a total newbie and I don't know the rules. However, I have always wanted to try DCC. If there is a free slot, I would love to play it.

Since there's one solid vote for a funnel and another soft vote, I'll start with a funnel. My current plan is a modified version of "Mall Maul" from the Crawling Under a Broken Moon zine.

I will say that the Purple Sorcerer zero-level generator for Umerica only generates humans since technically the inclusion of mutants, greys and robots is an optional rule so if we use that we'll need to make an extra race roll for each character.
