Day 2 - The Abode of Memphis

"Don't-" Yuna starts as Charles throws himself at Harold.

Charles freezes up, as the gun barks. He holds the position, even as he falls away and backwards. It’s only when he falls to the floor that he finally puts a hand to his bloody wound.

"Ah… Ah… Ah…" he stammers, pain coursing through his body!

Barrington continues towards Hawkings, intent on the weapon out of Hawkings's hands. Barrington is counting on Hawkings being shocked by the sound and the recoil of making the shot, and of the fact that Wilde was hit, to distract him enough for Barrington to grab the gun and take it from Hawkings.

With his experience, both of acting under fire, and of dealing with grievous wounds, he is able to act deliberately and with focus. He tends to panic around unexpected loud noises - but this noise was not unexpected...

John has been standing here, quietly unsure of what he's witnessed. However, that strangeness is temporarily pushed aside by Hawkings and his weapon. Seeing Barrington moving towards Hawkings, John tries to knock him out before more shots are fired.

"Stop this madness!" Yua says, running for the nearest thing to take cover behind - she's not about to get into a scuffle with three men, all larger than her, over a loaded gun.

Charles gasps, as the wound makes itself known, and he points as shaky, accusatory finger at the gunman. Then he slumps, and his eyes roll about until they land on Nakane Yuna.

Blood on his lips, the man mouths something inaudible, and reaches for her.

Barrington stumbles back, holding his hand over the shoulder he's been shot in.

He breathes through the pain and looks around him to check on Wilde - who seemed in the moment to have been more heavily injured than Barrington or John.

Finding Wilde, Barrington stops to administer first aid to him with his one good hand.

Seeing Hawkings is more than a little unhinged and willing to keep firing. John tries to tackle him to knock the gun out of his hand.

Yuna, frantic, watches as Charles stumbles toward her. "I-I don't know what to do! Stop this!" She reaches into her bag and pulls out her little purse gun - something she keeps on her for self defense, but she's not a good shot by any means. She watches as John tries to tackle Harold - if he drops his gun, she's ready to run for it and keep it from the obviously unhinged magician.

Charles flops down with a heaving grunt, as the woman pulls her pistol rather than tending to the man.

"Good man, Barrington." he forces out of him. "You’re injured yourself, man." he states, gripped by the delirium of adrenaline shooting through him.

"Don't worry about me, Charles. I've had much worse" says Barrington through his pain.

"We have to get you to a doctor, I can only give you first aid here, we need your wound looked at and treated somewhere safe and with better facilities."
