Question for everyone:
How would you like to handle situations where I need a player or players to roll so that I now how to narrate my next post? This is for outside-of-combat situations.
The "normal" flow is:
1. I post and ask the player to roll.
2. The player rolls.
3. I post a response based on the roll.
Things move much quicker, however, if I make most of those kind of rolls. But the player doesn't get to make their own roll, which maybe isn't as much fun.
Example: currently, I could make rolls for Roachtroat's characters, then immediately post what they see. As it is now, I have asked for a roll and am waiting.
So what would people like?
On a related note, a similar question can be asked regarding Initiative rolls. I plan to do modified group initiative: Everybody rolls, then whoever beats the baddies goes first. Then baddies. Then we go into standard side initiative. Would you like to make your own rolls when that comes up? Or would you like me to make all the rolls so that people can jump right into fighting?
