2. The First Delve
With three melee combatants between the rest of us and the wolves, I am reluctant to have Gabbro use his sling, given the likelihood that we will hit our friends rather than the enemy. We haven't dealt any friendly-fire damage yet, but that's in large part because the DM confirmed that it can happen way back in our very first combat encounter and we've been very careful ever since.
No spells, no melee movement, so someone please roll the Hellions' initiative for round 2 ...

Both Jessica and Pickles inflict further damage upon the already injured wolf, but it fights on. If anything, it’s madder than ever!
Waiting for Gabbro and Bob to complete the Hellion’s actions this round.

Rolls
Spear attack, damage - (1d20, 1d6)
1d20 : (11) = 11
1d6 : (1) = 1
I fear Bob may have joined the ranks of the missing. I haven’t heard from NJW, but it’s getting on for a couple of weeks since they last posted. We’ll carry on without them for now.
Gabbro concludes the Hellion’s round by joining the melee and missing (just) with his spear.
It’s the wolves’ turn to attack, I’ll roll randomly for which Hellion each of them attempts to bite (1 = Gabbro, 2 = Jessica, 3 = Luther, 4 = Ricard)

Rolls
Injured wolf 1 (target, to-hit, damage) - (1d4, 1d20, 1d6)
1d4 : (2) = 2
1d20 : (16) = 16
1d6 : (5) = 5
Wolf 2 (target, to-hit, damage) - (1d4, 1d20, 1d6)
1d4 : (3) = 3
1d20 : (18) = 18
1d6 : (3) = 3
The wolves’ attacks are savage.
The uninjured one wraps its jaws around Luther’s mace arm, drawing blood as the sharp teeth press through the cleric’s armour and into his flesh.
The other wolf, worked up into a frenzy by the damage already inflicted upon it, leaps upwards at Jessica and sinks its fangs into her throat. It’s a sickening attack, and she falls to the ground lifeless as her blood pools on the floor of the animal pen.
