I believe I have character sheets and backgrounds for all but one of you.
I need to do a little bit of double-checking on the sheets and some organizing on my part.

Imporant Information.

I am using your character's background to shape and add things to this campaign.
I am doing this with everyone's character.
Some of your character's background may come up sooner, may be useful more often, or may have a bigger impact on the campaign.
This is not a show of favoritism, but just the way I could put stuff together to make it work.

This campaign will be a mix of roleplay and combat. Combat can be hard.
If all players say that they wish to flee, it will happen (unless it is not possible).
This can be a heavier role-playing campaign, but with poor choices, combat can arise.

We will do group-based combat. We will roll initiate. I will roll the average for both sides, and the highest average will go first.
Unless stated by the player, I will make attacks go to the target I think would benefit the group the most.If a player does not take their turn within 24 hours of being mentioned for their turn, their character will dodge.

I am a very RAW DM I do so to keep everything consistent. I believe it is a flaw of mine, but I don't know how to break it.
But sometimes, to fix RAW rules, I give players homebrew items or perks. Again, this will not be a show of favoritism, just how it makes sense in the game.
I am not a huge fan of High AC characters; while you will find magical items, weapons, and armor, +1-3 armor or shields will not be found.

Once the game starts, I am looking for players to try and post at least once a day. As long as we have 2–3 players active, I will keep the story moving. Unless told otherwise, your character will always be following along with the party if you have not posted for a few days.
I am not active 24/7, and I do not expect each of you to be. I live in CST and can usually post after 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. On weekends, I am able to check a lot more frequently, unless I have plans. I am able to check for updates on my phone, but those posts will be shorter and more to the point than what I am able to do on the computer.

As soon as I get the last player's character sheets and background finished, we can start. Hopefully sometime next week (Monday?)
Does anyone have any questions, problems, or concerns?

That all sounds good to me. I need to update the character background with the new info we worked out, and finalize it, but everything else is good to go.

Forgot to add, I’m fine with 5 or 6 players, either is good with me.

I also could roll with 5 or 6 and be good.

Okay, I've updated Ashtar's character sheet. I just need a character image, which I'll work on tonight, but the sheet should be completely updated and ready to go now.

Included avatar and a full portrait in the Background section. Barring any changes from your end, I'm completely done now.

Hey y'all! Sorry I'm just now saying something. I joined and stared my character, but came down with the intense sickness that spread through my household. I'm good with 5 or 6 people and ready whenever y'all are!

Hahahah, thank you! This is wild because most of my characters are some version of quiet; either shy or skittish or just broody and introverted. This is my first outgoing and peppy character. It’s a blast but also a stretch. I’m excited to see how this goes.

Everyone good to leave in Tavern/guild hall and head to the traveling merchants?

I get what you're saying, Redamancy. I usually play really wholesome characters and I'm finally now embracing the personality trait of having a crude minded character. I can't wait lol!

So I’m pretty sure Briar will be the first to start some dangerous shit for the group because she has no self control. I’m sorry in advance. She’ll also probably be the first to die and it will totally be her fault.

So much fun playing up a priestly guy considering he isn't a cleric.

Do you guys prefer that I post as soon as someone else does or wait until a few of you post?
If I am not busy, I can do it either way.

They both have merits. I think a balance is nice. If one of us is doing something on our own (like if Briar was shopping and no one had followed her), posting as soon as that character engages seems fine. When we’re all around the bonfire and it’s a group discussion, I think it’s nice to let a couple people get their character’s thoughts in before the narrator moves things onward.
