I am debating on having you guys roll Death Saves but keeping the results hidden from the other players. That way, the other players will not know how dire your situation is. Opinions?
We do this in my realtime games and as someone who was 2/2 fails/saves in my Sunday game, let me tell you. The anxiety EVERYONE feels is real. And fun. I’m in favor.
I feel like there is an ebb and flow to posting frequency. But I’m not sure if it’s limited to this game. I am in a handful of others and find that there are days where I will have nothing new to read from any of them; I’m not sure what the solution there is.
Perhaps a dedicated chat on Discord or something similar might help? I know I’ve had a few days that were hectic and I just couldn’t get to the forums at all, but dropping a line in the Discord just to say "hey, today beat the crap out of me, I’ll be there tomorrow" would’ve been pretty simple.
Or it might help for OOC planning as we keep moving forward. Sometimes I get stuck on what to post because I’m not sure what everyone else is thinking behind their screens or because I feel like I need a little clarification on something minor yet potentially pivotal.
I’m not sure if it’s the solution for everyone, but it might help us feel a little less disconnected even when there are full-fledged post lulls? I just know that my realtime games each have a dedicated place to chat and it helps us stay connected to the story even though we only play every other week.
