Welcome everyone! This is the Out Of Character (OOC) thread. Use it for anything not related to the current game situation.

Golden rules
Be courteous, respectful, and avoid offensive or derogatory posts. Communication among all should be polite and one of mutual respect.

This is a game. It is supposed to be fun. All other rules are only to help us know how to work together to have fun. If it isn't fun, something is wrong and we need to fix it.

Conventions
I use the following conventions:

- "Character communication is in bold"
- Character thought is in itallics
- Sometimes, I use colors for additional emphasis, like on a characters nameIf you don't know how to do that, there is this helpful formatting guide from Adam

Dice
Feel free to roll the dice anytime you think I will ask for it or if you think there is a risk or interesting result in failure. If you do so, I can already consider its results as I post my answer and the game keeps moving. If its not necessary, I'll simply hide and ignore the dice.

But don't worry if you don't know what / when to roll. I'll ask you explicitly, if a roll is necessary, or may even roll it for you sometimes, so we don't have to wait.

@htech I have a couple of friends who would like to join if there's still time for them to create their characters. Is that ok?

As a side note, our sci-fi space game is better played on the "Dark Color Theme". Just click on your portrait in the top right corner and choose "Dark theme"

Hey @htech throwing a idea out there, while reading the players handbook, and listening to the podcast, i came across the idea of having per-session/chapter character defined short term goals. I don't know if it would be too much with the existing system you described for character advancement, but would be cool to have something we can strive for each session, for me it could be like "hack two systems" and for someone like @xoroede could be like "beat someone up". Just throwing a idea would like to know what everyone thinks.

I would rather have shared goals for the whole crew giving XP for everyone at once. (ie. the questions that I added in the character advancement =)

Those individual goals are very hard to balance and can let one PC reach a "level up" before the party or worst still someone with goals incompatible with the adventure or more difficult to reach with less XP.

But you can (in fact, you should :)) add short term goals in your sheet "Goals" section, not for XP but to guide your roleplay, me and the adventure. I will try to help you fulfill those goals (in the short and in the long term) and use them to know what you think would be interesting for your PC

I see that you updated your goals, arthur12320. Nice, it's much better. They will surely help to guide me and let me choose some of the next scenes. =)

Sup @htech just looking for some clarification on your thread in the stellar cartography, when you say they control that planet satton V? The systems in the sylonean federation? Or the hole sylonean sector? How deep does the rabbit role go? LoL

@xoroede asked me to post here and inform you that she'll play with us, but she is a little absent now, 'cause her mother is at the hospital (she hurt herself and is going to need surgery, but nothing too serious, so she'll be good as new soon \o/) and she's helping her.

I'll be GM'pcing her those days and she can post, as usual, when she gets back. Wish her mother a good surgery and a speedy recovery.

Just FYI, I won't be enforcing the 3 day deadline for posts during this or any of our holidays.

If the group posts, I will write as well. Otherwise, we will only move on with the adventure by skipping/DMPCing someone on next Friday (Feb 16).
