Scene 1: What are you waiting for?

"I can pilot the craft," Holroyd says calmly, looking over the gore-spattered remains of the Wayland-Yutani employee.

Holroyd is silent a moment, looking at Singleton with emotionless eyes. He weighs her dilemma but stays silent, then grabs the radio.

He pulls the device to his mouth and triggers it, "Is anyone there?"

"Dr Komiskey," Holroyd says, "This is Holroyd, colonist of Hadley's Hope, WT-20512 model G synthetic. Reynolds is dead - my group and I had been on a job out to Processor 9. It appears things have gotten out of control. Do you have orders?"

Morgan looks in the room, sees the blood and gore on Hannah's hand and the broken card as he listens to the obviously panicked scientist screaming into the comm.

For once, Morgan is stunned into silence. They're all dead. Everyone else is dead but them and this corpo scientist who doesn't even know their names. The only thing he knows is true is that the scientist is right. They've got to get out of here.

He turns a pale, shocked expression to MacWhirr, his head slowly shaking from side to side. Where is Komiskey? Deeper into the colony, no doubt. In the opposite direction of the shuttle. He looks at Holroyd and his senses come back to him.

"Ask if they've got a keycard for the shuttle," he says. It sounds cold and mercenary even to his own ears, but practical is what he needs to be. He's no hero, and without that keycard, none of them are going anywhere.

'Holy.... Holroyd, ask her for more information! What is happening here, exactly? Where is the doctor trapped?' Sonny senses that they all are in serious trouble here.

Holroyd nods to Morgan. "Dr Komiskey, Reynolds's keycard for the shuttle is damaged - it will not function. Do you have one? Where can we find you?" He pointedly ignores the additional questions requested by Sigg.

Morgan holds a hand up to Sonny. "We know what's happening. A bloodbath. There's one way out of here, and it hinges on that keycard."

All they need is the keycard. Morgan doesn't want to leave anyone behind, but he's not going to die over paperwork. If Singleton is going to be stubborn and risk her life for some papers, that's on her. Holroyd can pilot the shuttle.

Hannah tosses the damaged keycard on the desk and gives Sigg the side eye.

"Wasn't a rumor going round that guy brought back a parasite or something? That feels like something medical or science would have information on. Corporate bigwigs being onsite basically confirms it. What isn't Sigg and Holroyd saying?", she thinks waiting for the good doctor's response.

Sonny pulls the group together ’Listen… the hole in the vent matches the size of the hole in… Reynolds head. I… I think whatever ‘parasite’ infected Russ Jordan is running free around the base.’

Holroyd looks at Sigg, "I believe you are correct. Whatever made its way into Hadley's Hope, this place is theirs now. We must leave. Dr. Komiskey may have the only key card out of here. For better or worse we need to go to her."

He speaks back into the comm device - "Sit tight, Dr. Komiskey. We're on our way."

He takes the damaged keycard, just in case it is useful later in some capacity, then attempts to lead the others out and to the locked door at the end of the hall outside.

"I thought that was all just... I figured people were exaggerating. Snake parasite. That's crazy." Morgan is looking a little stressed out now. He remembers the incident that made him go AWOL, the bugs, barely escaping with his life.

"This ain't some snake. Did you see those rips in the metal back there? Something used a tool or had claws. Last I heard, snakes don't have hands or use tools."

He tries to pull himself together. Things are bad, but he's a trained professional, a Marine. Marines get the job done. He steps in beside Holroyd. "Let's get to Komiskey, get the card, and get the hell out of here. Snakes or not, something out there is killing everyone. I'd rather not be another statistic when someone does come to rescue us."

"I agree with Hirsch.
We need that key. Let's go.", she says as red light fills the room.

She exits the room and takes point. She trains her gun towards the hopefully empty corridor and says, "Before we go, I've got a question for you Sigg. How much do you know about this. You work for the Doc, right? What were you doing the last couple of days?
