Sister ArielleMahjid the Voracious
Adumal coughs two times to bring the woman's attention to him.
"Ahem, it's an honor to meet you, madam. My name is Adumal Nindur, I've been told you were looking for my sister."
"BAH!"
As the drow cries out and curses in a truly unladylike manner, she jabs Mahjid in the ribs with one of the canes.
"Does an old woman have to do everything herself?! I send for a woman and he brings her tower of a brother! No surprise there is an apocalypse coming every few years when the young'uns are so feckin' dumb!"
Taken aback by the behavior of the holy woman, Adumal gives Mahjid a look before turning back to the priestess.
"My sister is dead. I was tracking her murderer and got onto the trail of the Drowned Queen. I... We were hoping you would help us."
"Oh..."
It is now Arielle's turn to be taken aback. It does not take long and she quickly retorts by slapping her cane on both Mahjid's and Adumal's heads.
"And why did you not fucking say so! Come, we have much to discuss!"
With that, the trio moves further into the temple grounds, ending up in a small room that seems to be made out of numerous confession booths. This proved to be one of the smartest business moves of the temple priesthood, as knowing the identity of the confessionary seemed to boost their monetary donations significantly.
A conversation is had about the past events, with Sister Arielle occasionally disrupting the narration with questions, clapping her tongue or general curses aimed at various directions or beings.
When the story gets to the group's arrival at the Temple, Adumal skips through the interaction with the Hound captain by simply saying he did not seem keen on helping the group.
"Bah! Just another stupid prick! First he's not lending a feckin' finger to help with building the defenses, now he even refuses to supply his own moon-damned men!"
The old woman spits out something black into a wooden cup nearby, indicating she had been imbibing some kind of a chewing drug recently. If prompted about it, she would simply wave it off, saying it helps her with the digestion. If prompted further, she would smack the person on the head with her cane, saying that stress tends to lead to poor digestion and that they should pay more reverence to old people.
Nonetheless, Arielle is willing to help where Whispers is not.
"Well, I guess it's all up to us again, eh? We'll scrounge up some funding for ya - there's been lot's of greedy folks selling Drowned-killing stuff at the St. Gibbous Market, you may wanna go an' take a look."
Moon-blessed silver (D6, Haven, Religion)
Adumal's silver may be used by any member of the group to buy equipment at the market.
