Ok then that makes me the Yaz herself!

Awesome! I think Percy would balance the others nicely, so I'll go with that :)

Sweet! Feel free to post your reactions to the initial situation. I’ll post as Monday to get things going tomorrow morning.

@TheGenerator character approved!

Does the line still need to make sense?
Is it also possible to add something about the shadows to her sheet? I feel like she's gained a friend :D
I've removed the word 'Terribly' from the line 'I feel terribly insecure about my gender and appearance'

@Legendary_Sidekick I've added a new line to Gertrude's facts:
A shadow creature has taken a liking to me.

@Dmbrainiac - hopefully, I’m playing the counteroffer correctly. I believe Monday has to respond with a question, then I have to answer it.

@Legendary_Sidekick, you'll have to slide forward one of your cards to make the counter offer and follow the rules regarding that suit. Then Monday will slide forward one of their cards of the same suit and you'll have to guess if they are bluffing about the suit or not. If you call the bluff, then Monday reveals their card and things happen depending on if the suits match or not.

If you are just trying to address the offer Monday made, you slide forward a card that matches the suit (Spades). Both cards are revealed, and highest value wins.

@Legendary_Sidekick, it seems like you are addressing Monday's offer, but if you are, you'll need to choose a Spades card and not a Clubs card.

It’s a counter. I thought I needed a different suit to counter.

Yes, that's correct for a counter-offer, which leaves the initial offer still on the table. I just wanted to be sure before I posted.

(Also I only got 2 hours of sleep last night and hadn't had coffee when I looked at the posts a few hours ago. Reading comprehension was impaired. :) )

@Dmbrainiac - if my post isn’t clear, I can post which card I mean after I draw the new cards.

But a quick example: if I draw a 7♠️, I’ll play 6♠️. Because if I have 6-7-8♠️, all three are just as likely to win.

Of course if my highest spade is not part of a straight-flush, I will play the highest spade.

@Legendary_Sidekick you can only take one action on your turn. If you draw more cards, you can't also address the offer. (Monday has different rules so they automatically draw cards each of their turns.)

Okay, played my 8.

I actually feel bad for Monday. But I wanted to make the most heartless choice possible and, wow, losing the most fun part of being a fairy sucks!
Jun 12, 2025 3:11 pm
@Dmbrainiac - when Monday defends vs. a counteroffer, do they need to play a better card of that suit, or any card? (I mean if they aren’t bluffing.)

—basically, same rule as anyone else defending, where 2 beats Ace, otherwise the higher card wins? (Except Monday can bluff?)

It says any card of that suit, so it doesn't seem to matter what the values of the cards are. The only time the values matter are when you are addressing one of Monday's offers.

Although we can change it to the other way if you all would prefer to make it more challenging for Monday to win.

Hmm… I guess I’m good either way. I mostly ask because (1) I lost to an Ace earlier, so it appeared that way but the written rule implies a 3 could have beaten my 4, and (2) if Monday needs to truly beat my card, it determines how I do a counteroffer. I will play the card most likely to win if Monday has to beat it. If Monday can with with any card, I will play a lousy card that would be little-or-no help to me when I have to address an offer.

in that case, how did I win the counter offer? Monday had no hearts cards?
I didn't realize the value didn't count 😅

Looks like Gertrude wasn’t the only heartless person in the room.

(Boos self for dumb joke.)
