Hey all, not sure if I can keep up with this now that I've started my new job. I can make a try, but it may be the weekend before I get a chance to post again.

Yes, you may absolutely mark that on your Journey. Later tonight, I will post some information about Housekeeping in between sessions, including Leftovers, Journeys, Mementos and Shelves. I'll also post all of the early chapters so we can start deciding which chapter we want to play through next. And I'll link to a Google Slides document with all of the character sheets and Shelves in editable form so you all can mark progress on your journeys and place those mementos.

Characters, Tracks, and Shelves

And finally, I have updated the "Early Chapters" thread with all of the other available starting chapters, organized by mood. Once we are ready, we should decide which chapter we would like to play next!

So we've got two Momentos to place, The Hey Kid Drawing and the Little Flower that the Mementos section gives us. I would like to suggest that we use them on the Front Desk or Gertrude's Backpack as that would unlock all the other Nooks on those shelves.

As for the next chapter, I would prefer not doing another Relaxed chapter so we can see how other sets of rules work. Kinda like the Ice Skating one after the recent cold snap.

I marked off the rabbit's whoopsies & bingos on their slide, but I wasn't 100% sure, even rereading the rules, about how to mark off their journey. Does it just count for every chapter they participate in?

I like the idea of the mementos going to Gertrude's backpack, as it is thematic to the chapter.

For what to play next: I like the sound ice skating and of the "eerie" chapters, especially Lights Out or The Witch's Missing Shadow. The Pancake War could also be a fun one!

I didn't have a chance to do this today. I'll get things marked off tomorrow!

The Nooks on the Front Desk unlock new guests for you to play as, while Gertrude's Backpack unlocks chapters that specifically further her personal storyline, if it helps influence your decision. :)

Also, Mr. Boggs' umbrella track is somewhat confusing. Based on the sizes of other characters' tracks, I'm pretty sure the 10 boxes inside the umbrella itself are the only ones that count. But I'm not sure!

You don't have to mark off Whoopsies and Bingos. These are intrinsic to each character and are available in every chapter. Only in rare circumstance will you change, add to, or cross these off.

The track for the Rabbits is the little wheel at the bottom of their sheet in the "My Journey" section. For each Leftover you have after a chapter (3 in your case), mark off or fill in one part of the track. Once the track is complete, you finish your journey and follow the instructions there!

I'm easy with where things go, so putting them on Gertrude's shelf is fine by me!

For chapters, I like the sound of all the ones cthlulu mentioned. Pancake war sounds hilarious, and of the eerie ones I think Lights Out appeals to me most.

Ooh the Front Desk unlocking new playable characters does change my opinion, that could be cool.
Ahh, I definitely misunderstood the rules. Thank you, I've corrected the slides and it should be applied properly now.

We can still talk about where to put the Mementos and reach a final decision later. For now, it seems that Lights Out is the favorite for the next chapter, so let's go with that.

One person can choose to play as Parish. The rest of you can play as any other Resident or Guest who is feeling courageous!

I think that as a Handyman Percy makes sense to come along again! Or I can play as Parish if other people have other characters they want to be.

I want to try out Hey Kid though I did enjoy Gertrude I don’t want to monopolize her.

I was between Sal and Rag-and-Bones, but I think I'll go with Sal here.

As this is suggested to be a "Quiet" chapter, best for small groups, I won't play a character this time. I'll simply be the narrator and facilitator. The chapter thread is now open for you all to start posting! I'd like you each to create an establishing post describing your character's thoughts and feelings as you enter the spooky basement. After that, you can begin doing Bingos or Whoopsies to push onwards.

I'm not sure yet how I'm going to handle drawing cards since you have to hold on to some of them and they don't get shuffled back into the deck. I may just use a real deck of cards and tell you what you draw, then keep track of who is holding onto which cards. :)
