We'll be wrapping up this chapter soon. There were 7 cards remaining in the Tomtom's grid, and we're supposed to divide them evenly among the hunters for use as Leftovers. That means somebody will get 3 tokens and the other two will get 2 each. We also gain another Circle Memento, bringing us to a new total of 4 Circle Mementos and 0 Square Mementos at the moment.

Aside from some fluff upgrades for Parish, right now the only thing we can unlock in the Pantry shelf is a new guest for 2 Circle Mementos, the Zappamouschi Circus!As far as the next chapter, we can choose from any of the remaining starting chapters, or we could use some Circle Mementos to unlock an intermediate or late chapter that uses those.

Since we are short on Square Mementos which are supposed to be more common than Circle ones, I’m considering allowing you to trade in Circles for Squares on a 1-for-1 basis, but not the other way around. That opens up more options for unlocking. What do you think?

That’s right! I keep forgetting Parish is a little guy.

Chrono Trigger’s fault:

If we convert some Circle Mementos to Square Mementos, then every chapter posted in the Chapters thread becomes available to unlock. In the Pantry, we could use one Square Memento each to unlock either The Midnight Mushroom Hunt or the guest E.Vermi Boletus.We could also use some squares to unlock any of the other shelves that are not unlocked yet. If we're ready to help Gertrude, we can change all 4 circles to squares and complete the road to fairyland to confront Monday for Gertrude's heart.

Whatever we decide, Yazeba will move on to the next stage of her Journey:

Based on the "You ok in there?" text (which I hadn't ready before) I'm going to slightly change my last post.

If nobody has preferences, I'd suggest giving Amelie 3 leftovers and Parish 4. Parish could use those to cross off two other items from his journey's list in addition to the armor related ones he completed in this chapter.

As for the next chapter, I'd suggest working towards fixing Gertrude so we can do some of the other chapters that feature her like The Debutante Ball. Maybe we could play either The Longest Night of the Year or All Hallow's Eve to emphasize the drawbacks of her being heartless and spur the other residents towards wanting to help her? Then afterwards we can spend the Mementos to fill the road to fairy land and find Monday. (If you are successful in getting the heart back, you get an equal number of Mementos so it's not really "wasting" them.)

I don't really have preferences regarding the leftovers, so that's fine with me.

I'm on board for fixing Gertrude! I would probably vote Longest Night of the Year, but I'm open to whatever.
