Investigation or perception? Trying to glean information but definitely not touching, purely a visual examination. Does the portcullis have any latches or locks? Is the rust indicating it hasn’t been moved in a looong time?

Ashtar sidesteps through the skeletal reaching hands, nearly cursing as he did so. All these foul mischief were setting its claws in his soul, if not his body. The undead woman in front was the latest cause for distress, and Ashtar channeled as much anger as he could as the eldritch energy shot out of his hand and onto the creature.

Eye of the Storm had been waiting for all sorts of foul trickery, and it showed. With a very feline leap he jumped out of the reach of the grasping limbs emerging from the ground, and with a swift motion he fired an arrow straight into the undead woman's skull!

Ashtar reflexively covered his mouth as the noxious breath spewed his way, swerving his blast by a wide margin, and he could feel the effects of the poison. He repositioned himself and aimed.

Eye of the Storm leaped back from the breath, but too late. He felt the vile miasma poison him. Weakened and between coughs, he raised his bow and fired another arrow into the undead woman.

In solidarity with the rest of her friends, Briar holds her breath as she presses up against the wall in the alcove. She pops her head out long enough to fire again against the undead, and calls to the group, "Hang in there!" as she looses another bolt from her hand crossbow, then returns to her cubby space to reload.

With an inhale that set her coughing, she held what of her breath she could to keep from sustaining any more pain than it had already caused her. With the waning strength she still possesses, she swings her sword the best she can.
