The half-elf blinked, clearing her vision and finally seeing her friend in front of her. Giving in to the request, she accepted the tonic and gulped it down, feeling the poison start to fade from her body. With a warm smile and the mental note to hug her later, she said, "Thank you." Realizing the spectral was gone, she resumed her original plan and attempted to see what was in the other alcove space.

With the undead down, Ashtar finally stops to catch his breath. Everyone else had taken a hit, it was about time he suffered along with them. He followed Alyria's action, taking out his own draught of healing, and downing it, feeling like a fresh man afterwards.
It was near now, the end. It had to be, or they'd all be done for. He clapped Alyria's shoulder and looked at the others.
Time to move on.

Elisabeth Durst lies lifeless on the ground, her ancient body unmoving and still.
The party stands at a crossroads, faced with two paths. To the left, a narrow tunnel veers off into darkness, its secrets hidden from view. To the right, a rusty iron portcullis bars the way, revealing a large room beyond. Within this room, murky water dominates the floor, concealing its depths and casting an eerie aura. Stone stairs ascend along the walls, leading to dry ledges above the water's surface. At the heart of the chamber, another set of stairs forms an octagonal dais, rising above the water like a forgotten shrine.
Otherwise you can explore the Red Path.

OOC:
DC 20 Athletics to raise the Portcullis (Roll with adv Couth will help). Otherwise you can explore the Red Path.

"May as well try out the path that's not blocked first."
OOC:
Ashtar suggests the red path, but he's good either way.May 6, 2024 5:27 am
Altria looks at the bars contemplatively. After a moment to decide that she’d rather not waste energy she may need later, she turns to clasp a hand on Ashtar’s shoulder. "Thank you, my friend," she murmurs lowly for him to hear, a small smile of gratitude for his kind support, before turning and leading the way into the darkened, red corridor.
OOC:
I’m good with red, don’t want to miss out on any fun/potential death moments!May 6, 2024 1:30 pm
"I do not trust that water." Eye of the Storm stated with grave concern, and it was not just about the feline's distaste for water in general.
"The dead woman, she said something about us being food for some creature..."

She looks back at the Taxabi as she says, "I have no plans to become dinner nor allow any of you to be either."

The grim remnants of the cult's brutality are starkly evident in this chamber. Along the back walls of the alcoves, where once innocent lives were bound, now only skeletal remains and rusty shackles remain as haunting reminders of the horrors endured by a dozen prisoners.
@grifter730,@Khulod,@Redamancy,@Kilikina Can I get perception checks from everyone please.
OOC:

The fairy creeps onward on the chosen path, checking the surrounding area with a horrified and sad expression.

Walking among the dead prisoners Briar spies something shiny hidden in the tattered robes of skeletons.
Eye of the Storm notices that the one wall section seems off. Like it could be pushed open.

Moving carefully, Briar flutters towards the curious shiny that caught her eye. She is wary as she approaches to investigate further and see what it is she may have noticed.
OOC:
Gonna check it out. Not touching down on the ground, hovering above the body to try and get the shiny.May 10, 2024 9:41 am
Alyria slowly approaches Briar as she looks around the room. She tries to see if there’s anything of interest outside of what’s been discovered while being close enough to her friend to step in if something else decides to try living again.

Looking over the skeletal remains Alyria and Ashter don't notice anything else. The bodies have been literally picked clean.
You do notice that each of appeared to be killed and tortured in different ways.
The item Briar finds is a clutched in the skeletons hand. It appears to be a pocket watch of some sort.

"There's a hidden door here. I guess it goes to the flooded room..." Eye of the Storm noted. Since it was there, it might be safer? He did not open it yet. He wanted to have his bow drawn when it was opened...

"Give us one moment Eye of the Storm, we’ll be right there." Looking down at the jewel holding corpse, she unsheathes her sword and slices it through the wrists of the skeleton, separating the pocket watch from the body. "You should be able to take it now, lovely."
*cries why can’t my rolls be this good during combat?!*

I vote using the hidden door. The portcullis door is too obvious a route in for the final boss.load next
