Kobold: I got ninja'd! XD
Yes I think you're doing it right. I'm going to give the others one action before they are affected by the Wonderment. Next time please declare which one you're using before the roll.

Feeling Sabra's song ringing in his ears as he brushes past him and Tefri through the door, Adom mutters a curse and steps out behind him, determined not to let the elven caterwauling distract him. Beside which, as much as he would enjoy seeing the fool die in the street, it irked him that the elf had seen fit to step into such a situation with so little hesitation. One might even say heroically. And he would not stand idly by and let an elf have claim to calling him a coward in comparison.

Bearing down in his mind and narrowing his eyes almost to slits, Adom reaches deep inside himself and tries to pull on the threads that connect him to the dead all around him. He raises his arms wide. Inside him, the hands of his soul gather up the strings and wrap them round and round, pulling them in together and twisting their will in with his own. He can feel the two newly freed souls floating somewhere nearby, confused, angry, shocked, and he whispers to them. "Revenge. Stop him. Drag him down. Pull him off his chariot that we may plunge him into the afterlife where you may tear him to shreds." He clenches his fist around the hilt of the dagger and focuses anger, death, and revenge through it to the spirits.
OOC:
Attempting the Ob. 4 Hindrance (p.525) to freeze the charioteer in his tracks by having the spirits latch onto him, preventing him from moving.

Faith Test to Hinder the charioteer - (5d6, RA)

Surely the Egyptian gods have better things to do than be this man's plaything, Tefri thinks to himself as he watches Adom. He follows Adom through the door. His bravado and action could be confused for heroics, but in truth his motivations are entirely selfish.
OOC:
So my instinct will keep me within arms reach of Adom and I'll be doing whatever I can to keep him alive.

Ipwet blinks a few times in disbelief at the dispatched civilian falling right *through* the chariot, then shakes it off and decides it must have been a trick of the darkness. Or the adrenaline which she can begin to feel coursing through her. She closes her eyes for a moment and savors in the old familiar feeling, letting it heighten her awareness, prepare her muscles for conflict. She hears her mill door open and opens her eyes to see her- "What are they to me? Definitely not friends... comrades? acquaintances? I suppose acquaintances will suffice."- to see her acquaintances file out of the doorway one by one and prepare to face off against this mysterious charioteer. A strange tune seems to float on the air, originating from the elf. Strange, she never thought of Sabra as the singing type. The priestly one, Adom, seems to be preparing to do something priestly, Tefri close at his side.

"Well, well, well... It seems these fools are not so foolish after all. If it's a fight they want I can *definitely* accommodate them!" Ipwet frowns for a moment, "How am I to lead the charge from all the way up here?"

She lets the details of the alley wash over her, allowing her adrenaline to filter the details through her fighting senses. She looks to the adjacent rooftop and a small smile creeps over her face...
OOC:
Ipwet is going to invoke her instinct, "If I feel myself or my friends are in danger, I will be the first to strike out at our enemies." and attempt to hop across the balcony to the next rooftop, putting her in a position ahead of the rest of the group. Then as the chariot comes back through for another run she is going to launch herself at the rider, attempting to knock them to the ground.

As Adom prays he feels the presence of the god turn, focusing on something, somewhere else. Adom's supplication is not loud enough to catch the god's attention. The spirits that Adom is calling on turn, feeling his call to them, but without the god's intercession, their rage is turned on him. They fly through the air, howling with anger, right through all the buildings between them and collide with Adom. He feels their impact as a strong gust of wind and an icy chill in his soul.

The charioteer sees Ipwet on the roof, readying herself to leap down on the attack. He raises up his phantasmal sword and points it at her, whipping his reigns against the apparition pulling his chariot and yells out a challenge. No one understands the words he speaks, but his intent is clear.
OOC:
Ipwet, you and he are going to engage in a Vs. roll for this attack since both of you are attacking.
Sep 6, 2016 8:57 pm
OOC:
Excellent... This would be Brawling, correct? Can I have advantage for attacking from high ground? Also did we start out with any Artha?

OOC:
Artha! Yes thank you for reminding me. I meant to post about it last night before bed but obviously forgot. Everyone starts with three Fate and one Persona.

As far as your skill goes, Brawling sounds perfect and one advantage die is certainly warranted.

As Ipwet bounds across the rooftops, determined to strike first blood, she sees the charioteer eye her. Her face distorts into a malevolent grin, baring her teeth in anticipation of the glory of the brawl. As she reaches the edge of the roof the figure raises their sword in challenge and Ipwet leaps directly into her enemy's path letting loose a deafening ululation that splits the night air, easily overcoming the citizens' pitiful shrieks for help.

"ALALALALALALALAIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!"

OOC:
Its a tie! Do you have a Call On trait to break this tie? If not, neither will succeed.
Sep 7, 2016 9:56 am
OOC:
Oh geez! Can I say that my Streetwise call-on encompasses street fighting? As a rebellious teenager Ipwet has probably been involved in a few scuffles with the city guard and is familiar with how to fight someone on horesback or chariot and how to overcome a distinct disadvantage like that. If that doesn't fit then I'd like to spend a fate point on luck and reroll my one 6...

OOC:
No, Call Ons are specific to the skill. Go ahead and spend a Fate if that's what you want. Reroll that 6.

OOC:
Yea, I knew it was a stretch. Here we go...

Rolls

Fate point - Luck (re-rolling 6's from last roll) - (1d6, RA)

(1) = 1

Ipwet sails through the air, battle cry filing the ears of everyone close by, and misses the mark. She miscalculated her jump just enough that she's headed towards the tongue of the chariot, just in front of the box where the warrior stands. He swings his sword at her, but wasn't prepared for her bad leap and misses her.

Ipwet passes through the chariot, striking the stone paved road and rolling with her momentum. The chariot rolls through her body and continues through her companions in the middle of the road.

The chariot rumbles to a stop and the warrior turns and laughs and says something in a language you don't understand before driving off through a house, fading from view.

Do you keep singing? If so the rest of the party needs to roll Steel.

OOC:
Let me answer that question with some questions of my own: do I need to sustain the song to sustain the effect or has that already been achieved? And if I keep singing, will the charioteer also be affected?
Sep 8, 2016 2:11 am
OOC:
The effect only lasts as long as you sing the song. You may sustain a song for your Week exponent in hours. However, you're constantly singing and will constantly be causing wonderment.

As for the charioteer, he's no longer in sight.
Sep 8, 2016 2:14 am
OOC:
Ah, I see that he's around the corner now. Would I not have gotten an attack as he drove through me? If not then I keep singing and give chase.
Sep 8, 2016 2:16 am
OOC:
You can attack if you'd like. It will go through him, as Ipwet's attack showed. He also didn't go around the corner, he drove through a house, disappearing from view.

Edit: If you want to try and cut him off, give me a Speed roll. We'll make it Ob4 since you have to go around physical objects to get to him.

Sabra takes a swing at the creature but his blade finds no purchase in the ethereal form. As the Elven made khopesh passes through the charioteer, Sabra stops his singing, his blade quelling its vibrato in time, and looks to the company gathered. He has already been too bold. This creature has not passed on to the lands of the dead. Aren't you supposed to be the expert on spirits, priest. If blame is to be cast, it would not surprise me in the least that this being was released due to your tampering in the lands close to the Nile.

He looks to the others gathered. We are but flesh and blood. But if its blades can cut us, then surely we can find something to cut it.
