If nothing else it sets up a cool moment/decision for Ipwet and Tefri to try to help out watch in horror. :)

Can't wait to see how well/horribly this turns out. If things go terribly and he loses the hand and the dagger he used to kill the rival initiate as a teenager... ooh. So much guilt. He would totally deserve it.

Ha! So close. Ah, such are the wages of chivalry. :)

B4 is actually only a light wound, though he's not going to be in much of a position to put up a fight for the second round. Let's see how bad that light wound is narratively.

I took that it's a Light wound into account, so you won't be suffering a greater narrative wound than mechanical.

Awesome. Excited to see what everyone else does. I'm imagining Tefri coming out with a handful of people bits and seeing that it's gone. XD

Ooh, this is getting good.

Ok, gonna hold off to see what Ipwet does. :)

Nice!

At some point we should probably bandage the hand/wrist, but I like the image of him bleeding all over the floor.

I'm sure it'll matter later.

I have a little more dialogue in mind, but we can do that as the group is walking through the temple. OMW home now I'll throw it up shortly.

Actually, might be a nice RP opportunity if somebody wants to jump on it.

I've got something in mind for a response but I want to see what WarDomo has Tefri say first.

Yay! You're back! :)

Glad the storm didn't getcha, dude.

So, continuity-wise, I think we had Sabra present for the whole giant croc thing. Adom was talking to him when it emerged and then shoved him backwards while he faced off with it.

Would you be okay with having him frozen (maybe by shock at what a stupid thing Adom was doing?), or did you want to retcon him out of that part of the scene?

I'm super stressed and worn out today from work. I was planning on posting today, but I'm going to take some time to relax and recover. Thanks.

We'll roll with Sabra running up now.

RAW, looks like Song of Soothing (p. 299) acts like Herbalism (p. 277) which allows you to treat injuries (p. 491). For a light wound, it's Ob 2 and takes 15 minutes. Any successes above 2 you get will be added as advantage dice to Adom's Health roll to recover from the wound. Or you can spend any extra successes to reduce the time required by 10% each (p. 30).

Regarding Adom's wound, he must make a Health test to recover from the wound. Since it's a light wound, it doesn't have serious bleeding (I'm just having a bit of fun with the narrative on that). It requires an Ob 2 health test to deal with the pain. If he fails, he will feel the pain (and the mechanical -1D to most of his rolls) for (24 - Forte) hours. In his case, that would be 21 hours. He's got a B4 Health, so he has a decent chance of making the roll without help.

It's worth noting that if the wound had been more serious, we would have had to deal with the bleeding, and Adom could not make a recovery check on it until he had been successfully treated. Also, it's worth noting that even a midi wound (the next step up) would take 2-12 weeks to recover from.

Yeah, wounds can get pretty brutal, as far as time needed to heal. But one of the things I like about this game is that it builds in stuff for everyone else to do when you have to wait on someone to heal.

Oh yeah, the training/practice mechanic. I'm interested to see whether or not the Song of Soothing works to heal the injury. And how he's going to react to being healed by a bunch of elf mumbo jumbo inside the temple of a real god...

Actually, how well understood/accepted are the elf songs by the humans?

I imagine it's going to be viewed with skepticism. Man doesn't believe in that stuff. Typically, if one gets healed with it, they'd probably come up with some rational to minimize the elf's contribution.
