Hrmm. Basically my thought is he just goes pale and tries to play it off. I guess the stakes are that Ipwet realizes it's Adom that is the holy man in question, or that he's terrified.

At this point Ipwet has her suspicions that Adom is witholding information but nothing more.

RP it and we'll see where it goes. I may call for a roll if it gets juicy enough.

Oh, no, they wouldn't be. Priests are always trying to gain the favor of the Empress for themselves and their god. The best way to do that is to make the others look like idiots.

OK, that long term goal to get to the top might be starting to morph into a desire to kill her, even if it means he loses any hope of becoming high priest. At some point I really hope he has to make that decision.

And we've got a nice little one-liner with the camera cutting from Ipwet to Adom's determined face. Ominous music starts and we transition into.... the temple!

Gonna hold off a bit on posting. Shark_Bone, is there something mechanical we care about for the margin of failure (missed actions, etc) or are we looking at just a disturbing static situation where we can RP our reaction to finding the mangled corpses?

Since we're not drilled down into individual actions, we only care if you pass or fail. If you pass, you're fine. If you fail, you can run screaming, stand and drool, fall prone and beg or... something else i think. You basically have a panic reaction, however you want to color it.
