Ok I've make those corrections. I was missing a feat then since I'm suppose to have 1 per level? Thanks, I was pretty confused on most of it. As for the compartments, they're mundane. Golo has learned that if you want to keep something, you have to hide it and keep it close.
The empty spaces (compartments) made Golo think he was incomplete - that he was made wrong. This made him think he had to try harder in everything so that he could be the same as other forgeborn. Though he wasn't a front line fighter in the Deadwar, this extra effort singled him out to be sold as a gladiator. Later, he's bought as a bodyguard to a famous - if controversial - dwarf artist, Bargus Stoneshaper. It was during this time together the artist noticed Golo was not just a thing. Golo expressed interest for his master's art and so the master became a mentor in life as well as art. After a time, Bargus fell gravely ill. Not wanting Golo to be property any longer, Bargus declared the forgeborn free so long as he promised to go out and explore the world and live for more than servitude.

Cool. And yeah, one feat per level. Humans, as always, start with one extra. Is Bargus still alive?

I was going to say no, but I think it would be more interesting if Bargus were still alive when he pushed Golo out into the world. So instead of "gravely ill", I'm going to say that he got better and that's when Golo agreed to leave. There's a hook for you.

Updates made to Slammer Kintyre.

Since I'd rather be able to explain it to the other characters in-game if the conversation comes up, I will put it in the notes.

Sounds good to me. Speaking of which, how are we going to do the whole meeting of each other? Not sure if we want to discuss that now or if that'll be taken care of when the game starts.

Haven't thought about that yet! Kinda depends on what intro adventure I run, but if you guys want to work out the specifics together, let's go nuts!

While I like RPing it out where we meet, that's going to bog the whole beginning of the game down.

I agree, which is why I was planning on each of you having some sort of prior connection to at least one other person, but the first adventure determines the context of the adventuring party a little better. Like, are you all paying a debt to the Prince of Shadows, or have you been hired by the Crusader to hunt down witches? It helps set the context in how you all know each other.

As Lucas will be a sellsword attempting to re earn his lost funds, I can fit into almost any start. So long as it is not overtly evil (murdering innocent people and whatnot)

I've made the changes to my character you asked for, and based on my PM about my character background, I think my character is ready. Let me know what you think.

Also, as for knowing each other, this could really depend on the quest. Maybe we respond to some message on a board, or we all rush the aid of a stranger, or we happen to all go to the inn for a pint. There's options. I have no idea what would best suit the quest.

So what are we waiting on? Anything I need to do?

Sorry I've been incommunicado. Gonna check over the sheets one more time, though I bet they're great, and we should be ready to start tomorrow!

Alright, our first adventure will open with the four of you having been hired to investigate rumors of witchcraft on behalf of the Empire in the wizarding city of Eldolan. Very final question before we begin: do you guys want to have prior connections with each other, or each have been hired separately?

What about we start with the bare assumption that we've already been introduced, but don't know each other very well? We could just skip the small talk and everyone could still have some skeletons in their closets to find out about?

I think that sounds like a great idea, Phil.
