Not sure why Margaret rolled charm, but I asked for both to roll cool and I'll take the roll as the cook roll I asked for. That means she got a 7, not a 5, and thus a partial success.

As the light pierces your mind, you feel something crawling through your head, like a person pulling files out of a cabinet, looking at them throwing them on the floor, and then looking at the next but with your memories.

OOC:

Whoever or whatever this person is, they are pulling on your memories. With a partial success, they learn something about you, but unlike a miss you get to decide what they learned instead of me.

What does this person learn about Seth and Margaret from their memories? This is not out loud, so anything you say the other characters nearby did not learn.

I think that it learned that Seth was much more in pain than he let on after the last mission and was pretty depressed about not being in the shape he needed to be to go out on missions while he was recuperating.

Also, would I be able to shoot at this thing or am I under its spell or whatnot?

Mysterious Person

Somehow you see a conflicted look on the half of the mysterious man's face, as if got something interesting but not what he wanted. He then turns to charge at Seth and Margaret with multiple knives suddenly in each hand.

Unknown Man

"Hey stop!" the other man tried to pull his wand out but is slower than the other man and Seth and Margaret.

What do you do as the man charges you both?

Seth shakes his head as if to clear it out, and sights again at the now charging person. He squeezes of a couple of rounds, hoping to hit his target and slow it down.

Mysterious Person

The man suddenly trips, tumbling forward but quickly gets back up. He looks at Margaret, who gets a sense that this mysterious man seems interested in her after he tripped inexplicably.

Seth takes a shot, but even with Margaret's push of luck in his direction the bullet goes over his shoulder instead of into his chest. The man looks at Seth and Seth feels an intense pain as the man's eyes glow green. Seth takes 3 harm ignore armor

The man with the wand manages to get the wand out in time to cast some spell before a large dome appears over everyone. Margaret recognizes this as the trap a monster use of the use magic move, thus the monster can't get away for a little bit.

Feeling trapped, the monster looks at Margaret and, in a raspy voice, says, "You know magic. Tell me where it is!" Then proceeds to run towards Margaret, his knives looking more like claws as he gets closer.

OOC:

Reminder you get 1 exp on a miss.

What is Ajay doing during this?

Ooc: Ajay planned to look for the woman who got attacked and was now interviewed. He was to question her regarding the assailant.

Only the monster is trapped. He used the option:
Trap a specific person, minion, or monster.
However, since he is not a hunter and I don't roll as the keeper, it won't remain trapped long.

As this is happening, Ajay arrives at the Vault of Learning and comes to a front desk. The receptionist may be able to help locate Ms. Nichols, the curator that was harmed and who seems to be back to work already.

Ajay entered the Vault of Learning with a confident pace and went up to talk to the receptionist. "Greetings Mam, may I see where Ms. Nichols is? I would like to talk to her about the incident." He flashed the ID card that Seth gave him. The fake ID of the police would surely give him access to Ms. Nichole for an interview.

sure, roll use magic. You are aware that is this is a monster attacking and you don't know it's weakness, no amount of strengthening the barrier will stop if from escaping eventually, but you can make it last longer if you want

Ajay looked at the receptionist with a quizzical look, as if an idotic question were asked and valuable time was wasted. "I believe these are sensitive matters that need to be handled privately. I know you are doing your job, but I hope you won't hamper my investigation, will you?" He looked into the receptionist's eye with a blank, hollow expression.

OOC: Rolling manipulate someone. Oh damn! Now, I am afraid that I will roll bad when I need them most.

Ignoring the fact that she didn't really get an answer and in another circumstance she might have pushed for one, she picks up a phone that Ajay can't see below the upper portion of the receptionist desk and mentions an officer is here to see Ms. Nichols. She puts down the phone and says, "She will come meet you here to decide where to talk. Please stay in the lobby for a little bit as she finishes something."
