2. Who dunnit ? Who killed Thunder ?

Gray thinks for a moment before answering Martha "I don't recall anyone at the orchard of the mill having any ill will toward the circus. My fear is the the culprit is in the circus. If we want to check out those other sites, maybe we should split up to gather any useful information as quickly as possibe?"

"It's not that I think the villain comes from the orchard or the mill," Martha replies, "but they might be there right now! These records give me a bad feeling." She waggles the map for emphasis.

"Fair enough. Then let's try to safely get to the Mill. We can make camp there if the occupants can't take us in." While Gray is talking he is absentmindedly fidgeting with one of the stones. He tosses the rock into the water to see if it skips. He can't get over how odd it is that the bag is here unattended, and takes one last look at it before they are on their way.

"Yes, splitting up sounds risky," the dwarf adds. Her mouth quirks downward. "Thunder died because no one was with him."

Sticking to the plan, Martha leads the way to the mill.

Hix just follows the two of them. Splitting up is a terrible idea after all! Not that's he's scared of course, but someone needs to be there to protect these from any more monsters.

Gray looks around with a sigh, then follows the others. He pulls out his crossbow in the hopes to protect them from behind.

The group goes back to the camp, without any problem on the way back. The entire crew is still around the camp fire, as they see the heros passing them to go toward the circus tent on their ways to the mill, a number of voices ask questions like:

Is it over? Can we go back to our tent?

Did you find who killed Thunder?

"I am sad to report that we have not. It's probably best if you stay in groups, and watch each other backs for now." Gray replies

"Do not worry, however, for us, your brave heroes, are still on the case! In fact we've just come back from slaying a small army of water elemental's, not a match for me of course, but they had a clue that will lead us to the culprit, mark my words", boasts Hix

Martha shrugs, neither confirming nor denying the magician's words. If Hix's antics can take the minds of the circus crew off the murder of their leader, that would be a good thing.

Hix speech does not impress the circus members ... far from it.

"IF Hix' assurance isn't enough for you, I will help walk people to their rooms tonight, and take the first watch to keep an eye out for intruders."

Gray's speech reassure the people.
