If there's no chimney, Martha tosses the rock at a nearby window, breaking a hole for Rick to enter the building.

Gray will keep lookout in case anyone heard the sound.

There is no glass windows in medieval times, mot of the time the windows are open or cover with a fine sheet to let the daylight passed as it can, for this reason houses are often dark, even during the day.

And at night, or when the people are gone, the windows are closed by sturdy wood planks locked from the inside with a bar, which is the case for this home. So you may try to break the barred piece of wood on the windows, or try to open the door.

Wood shatters when frozen right?, Hix thinks to himself. He, contemplates for a second, then decides, it probably won't make it any harder, and therefore blasts it.

Ray of frost on the window

You can see just a little frost covering the wood, but it does not seems to be damaged.
OOC:
No damage, the hit was entirely absorbed by the wood.

"Oh, for crying out loud," Martha says. The dwarf slips forward, and picking up her stone, starts bashing in the window's shutter until it breaks.

OOC:
This will take a very long time to break the wood with stone.

"This may be more trouble than its worth, Should we see what the situation is at the orchard?"
Sep 1, 2024 10:58 pm
"We're already here, let's give it another try," Martha says. Seeing how ineffectual the stone is at bashing the shutters in, she switches to punching with her fist. "Hix, I think your ice is working. Don't stop!"
OOC:
Stumbling Swing fists do 1d8+2 damage, or 6.5 average. I'm sure with the three of us we can get a window open, lol.
Sep 2, 2024 6:09 pm
OOC:
6.5 average => 1.5 average damage/round. 20 hp/ 1.5 = 13.33 => 13 rounds * 6 sec = 69 => 1 minute 9 seconds of loud noise to break the window by yourself. Of course everyone who try would decrease the time, but I need to know what you're using to break a window.

OOC:
Gray can give Martha his sword if that speeds things along.
Sep 2, 2024 9:03 pm
OOC:
Gray can use his sword to speed things along. I calculated your average damage would be 0.57 round for Gray
For Martha it is 4.5+2 = 6.5 - 5 = 1.5
So to get 20 hp it needs 10 rounds (1.5+0.57)*10 = 20.7 => 1 full minute of racket.

"Well, if we're gonna be loud might as well start throwing stuff at it", Hix then proceeds to throw rocks at the window with his magic
[ +- ] Telekinetic Projectile
OOC:
Not sure if it matters but intent is to deal bludgeoning damage.

For Martha it is 4.5+2 = 6.5 - 5 = 1.5
For Hix it is 3.5+4 = 7.5 - 5 = 2.5
Total average per round: 0.57 + 1.5 + 2.5 = 4.57
=> 20/4.57 = 4.44 => 5 rounds -> 30 secondes
You're lucky the racket was not heard, the widows is busted, you may enter.

Gray quickly enters and, remembering that this is a mill, looks for anything out of place or suspicious.

Hix is going to detect magic go to the source of what he found before.

The inside of the house is very dark, if Martha and Gray do not have any problem to see clearly (also it is in black & white), for hix it is a little to dark and he can only see forms.
It looks like a bedroom, with a bed and a heavy wardrobe strangely it is laying on the floor, door open, but face down. There are shelves with things on them, but it is difficult to make up the shapes.

Sep 5, 2024 7:51 am
Martha looks about the mill's interior, darkvision allowing her to peer past the gloom. "That's odd," she says when she spots the overturned wardrobe. "I'd think this place was already robbed if we didn't have such a hard time breaking in."

She gets closer to the wardrobe, checking if there are other signs that the mill was burgled.
Sep 5, 2024 4:48 pm
OOC:
The wardrobe is on the floor upside down, the only see you see is its back panel. If you want to look the inside, you will have to get i back up.

OOC:
nothing else is out of place or looks disheveled? We can just focus on the wardrobe?
