Grt mr s list of then we really need and i will talk to the merchants to see if they have what we are looking for.
OOC:
You can just make a list, I will see if it is obtainable though you won;t meet any of those npcs at this time.

OOC:
Sorry for the delay here. Quite a week at work.

Items: Backpack, Food (4), Open Helmet, Grappling Hook & Rope, Sleeping Furs, Tent (Large), Bandages (10)

OOC:
Same here - mother in law passed away on Tuesday, so its been a bit of a scramble keeping up. Things should be getting settled soon though. :)

OOC: With the 3 silver, I don't think I can buy anything. As for things that Elaria can buy, we can get a fishing net, 3-4 snares, backpacks, a shovel, ropes, cloaks and maybe a oil lamp for when we enter any kind of dungeon.

OOC:
Can't think of anything else, except rations for all
Apr 13, 2024 9:27 pm
OOC:
To be clear, I meant bought by Elaria. Lothar's practically penniless. :)

OOC:
I think that all sounds good. Torches, rations, camping and some cooking gear. Some spices - salt, pepper, a few herbs, and maybe small keg of *something* for the road.

Elaria pulls out a quill and some ink and begins to write down the list of items that the others have mentioned. she then puts it away but you cannot tell where she pulled it out from.

I will see what I am able to find, I don't want to delay us to much so if it is not readily available we may need to go without right now. Well except for food that we will definitely need to wait for. Now I think this might end up very costly. It is worth more than an extra quarter share. I will only go with one share but think of the rest as payment for helping me and that you are on retainer paid in advance.

She then gets up and after a quick talk with the innkeeper she heads out.

After a bit she returns and says The gear will be here soon and the innkeeper is getting us enough rations for 4 days.

I was able to secure a tent, 3 backpacks, some hemp rope, sleeping furs for those who don't have them, 20 bandages, 2 snares, 2 oil lamps and 2 things of oil. Other things will take time to get or the cost at this time doesn't seem reasonable so I figured we can get them later.

shortly after she arrives a somewhat large man comes in loaded down with supplies. He brings them over to you and as you see him, You can tell he is not fully human and that orcish blood may run through his veins.

"You are awesome!" Krisanna exclaims, beaming at Elaria. "I'm feeling pretty good about this. How 'bout you, Big Guy?" she says, turning round and looking for Lothar.

Browyn was surprised to see all the goods arriving so quickly. He went and took 4 bandages, 2 snares from the pile and turned to Elaria, "Thank you for arranging this, M'Lady, the snares will help us catch games when we camp and help us conserve rations. I am ready for this venture and when we are all prepared, lets hit the road and start our journey."
Apr 17, 2024 5:22 am
"Born ready, lass!" Lothar says with energy to Krisanna as he loads his pack...
OOC:
Taking a backpack, a sleeping fur, the rope, and bangages (10).

You gather up your gear and begin your journey out of Outskirt to the mound. As you head out of the town you see a bat flying out of the town which surprises you as though it is early morning it seems late to be seeing a bat flying.

Your day for the most part is uneventful though it takes a while for you to get used to the mist that filters the light in the vale.

Consulting the map you believe you are getting near the area of the mound but also night is beginning to fall. So you need to decide if you plan on making camp or trying to find the Ridermound in the dark?
OOC:
Also are you bringing the cart and donkey? It seems from the map that you could traverse with it but again you don't know the lay of the land.

If you stop and make camp I will need to know the what your plans are for the night. Such as are you making a fire? who is on watch and for how long?

I did not do it for this trip but we will need to start following the journey rules where we need to make bushcraft rolls per shift not to suffer a mishap. there are also rules for making camp. I will have to post them as I don't think I gave you them when I posted the rules. I wanted to have you get a little more used to the basic rules before the journey rules kick in.

OOC:
What do you think, folks? I can go either way, but if we're not tired, perhaps we dive straight in?
Apr 21, 2024 12:21 pm
OOC: I suggest we make a camp for the night. Who knows what might attack us in the darkness.
Apr 21, 2024 2:48 pm
OOC:
Cool. Then let's RP that exchange, at least briefly!
Lothar the Fireblooded is feeling his epithet as they finish the day's travel and find themselves near the barrows. The day's shadows are lengthening as he unshoulders his heavy pack, grins and jabs a finger at the mound that is their destination.

"Not so far, hey? Straight in, then? Right to the business of plunder?"
Apr 21, 2024 3:45 pm
Browyn came and stood beside Lothar watching the mound and then turning to look up towards the darkening skies. He looked around the area scanning the horizon as best as he could amidst the mist. Turning to Lothar he said, "Master Lothar, I think we should camp now. Better be well rested and fed before entering that unknown area. It would be difficult to explore at night even though we have torches, but I guess we can spare one night before we delve in."

Felskrudd stifles a yawn and nods. "Yes, some rest would do wonders."

He stretches his muscles after a day steering the donkey and the cart. Not as tiring as his companions on their feet, but he can feel it in his backside.

He releases the donkey and gives it an assuring pat on the back. He lets it graze a little before latching it so it won't run away in the middle of the night.
OOC:
Felskrudd would like to bring the cart. Don't know if there's more loot than we can carry between us.

"Ah, we could just crack it open a little tonight!" Lothar says mirthfully. He's keen, but he'll do what the party wants at this stage.

"What say you, ladies?"
Apr 23, 2024 2:36 am
I am not sure. Saving time is a good idea but if we are tired we may make mistakes. Also once we find it and open it will we be able to easily back out depending on what we find. Your group seems to have more experience than me in this situation though. Also it is a tomb do we want to enter one at night?
Apr 23, 2024 4:21 am
OOC:
I don't know the Dragonbane setting very well. Do the forces of darkness, monsters and undead and such, gather strength at night?
