Character Creation

All characters are assumed to be students at Westview High at the beginning of our story, at least sixteen years of age (or appear to be). They all have secret identities, and starting out, none of your teammates knows who is who behind the masks they wear. In order to separate the two identities, you will submit two 'characters' for this game - one is your high school persona, and the other, your 'Mask'.

Your mundane identity will only include the details a typical student at Westview might know about your character. What grade you're in, which clubs and organizations you're part of. How you're doing at school, maybe who you're dating, or any shenanigans you've been involved in that has made it to the rumor mill.

Your Mask identity will include details known about you as a superhero. Your heroic name, the costume you wear, your powers and abilities, the history of your Legacy, or any other information AEGIS analysts might have gathered on your hero since they've appeared in the city.

Do answer all the questions in your playbook's Backstory section, but also include some details about your character's upbringing and relationships; friends, family, pets, treasured possessions, places - or anything else your character is sentimental about (no need for more than a few words for each). Your character's history, background, and relationships will all feature in this game.

The 'When our team first came together...' and 'Relationship' questions on your playbook will be filled jointly with the rest of the players after the entire cast is introduced.

Please select a realistic-looking portrait, to better fit with the thematic style of the game (nothing drawn or animated, but lifelike AI pictures are just fine)

The Setting thread has a sample of interesting locations and characters, but our city is far (very far!) from being fully fleshed out.
Player contribution to the world-building is always welcomed; be it NPCs, locations, or organizations, as long as it fits within the established fiction and theme of the game.

This will allow you to have a stake in shaping the game world, and provide me with hooks for future plot developments. You can definitely expect to see your contribution included as part of the story we tell.
