The white-robed priestess, Jessa apparently, puts a hand on the boy's head and pulls him gently into her side. "Oh Riril..." She looks up at the group. "Umberlee has another name I won't mention here, but it applies as well to her high priestess as it does to her. Nasty woman..."

"Ok, how did you get into the temple" Dieter questions further.

On the inside Dieter was boiling with rage. He did his best to put his mask on for the boy. People seem to forget but Dieter is also just a boy only six years older than the one in front of him.

The more they talked the less he cared for the temple’s preferences.

Riril wipes his eyes on Jessa's robe. "We went in through the cave on the beach. It's not a secret cave. But only they are supposed to use it. But... but Arty and I were curious..."

"It’s going to be okay Riril, The morning lord sent us to help you. A long time ago my friends and I were very curious too. I was in big trouble but my friends got help and Lythander saved me. I’m going to make sure we get your friend back" Dieter whispers to Riril. "Stella and Aiwë are big heros and this is what heros do all the time".

Aiwë quickly leans in to Dieter's storytelling. She flexes her muscles and winks at the boy, and Stella's hair shimmers with starry sparkles that drift loose in the air around her.

"Don't worry, Riril. Stella and I have already brought two people back from the dead. I'm sure we'll have Arty home soon."

Riril sniffs and rubs his nose on his sleeve. "Okay..."

Jessa rubs the boy's hair. "Now go on! No more worrying. Everything will work out."

The priestess turns back to the party. "Any other questions?"

"We're not from here, but I'm surprised that we're not also hauling half the clergy in for a murder trial. Is killing children permissible on private property?" Aiwë asks, eyebrows furrowed.

Jessa sighs and folds her arms. "The temples are given much jurisdiction over those who are caught stealing or trespassing on their grounds. It's not the first time the priestesses of Umberlee have executed those who infringe on their domain. But a child!" Her frown is as hard as the marble about her. "Children have always been spared such punishment. And refusal to turn over the body! It's shameful behavior."

"What are the tenant of this god?" dieter asks confused

"Shameful behaviour is yelling at a grieving and terrified child. Too bad but ultimately forgivable. I think I would put this in another category." Aiwë sighs. "I have no other questions."

"The Queen of the Depths," Jessa spits the title out, "is as petty and unforgiving as the ocean itself. Take care around her followers. I'd sooner trust a storm not to capsize a rowboat than believe the a word that leaves High Priestess Greyhelm's lips."

Having accepted the task to retrieve poor Arthatax's body from the vile priestesses of Umberlee, the party leaves the Temple of Lathander and makes there way towards the Docks District.

There's no sign of Skie Silvershield in the busy thoroughfares, but honestly, who can keep track of that girl?

The smell of salt grows heavier in the air as the group gets closer to the ocean. After close to an hour of trekking through the Gate's crowded streets, they see the masts and sails of great ships poking up over the tops of buildings. And the buildings and crowds seem to be getting seedier and smellier. It's a far cry from the well-to-do Upper City.

At one point they pass an entire ship squeezed between buildings, dredged up onto solid land and built into the city's streets. A sign hanging from the hull reads The Blushing Mermaid, and patrons file in and out of the structure like any other tavern.

Eventually they reach the piers and are able to look out onto the ocean. Waves lap up against the wood of docks and ships, creating a relaxed rhythm intermingled with the occasional creak of wooden beams and the cries of seagulls. From there, it doesn't take long to locate the Temple of Umberlee.
